The more I think about it, and no offense to the OP, but the very thought of storming the field for a victory. Friday night would be beyond pathetic and somewhat idiotic.
86% of TKR members agree (as of now). If anyone storms the field against an unranked opponent, they should be tased.

Nowhere near as idiotic as someone having the thought that Chris Ash was great, and a “closer” in recruiting.
I didn’t say that you were suggesting we storm the field. Calm down.

Oh, and you know damn well that I was quoting several coaches from the Midwest who made those statements at the time of the hiring. Geeze.

Lol wut. I realize OP is just trolling, but surprised at some of you

No way. We're favored to win.
I think there has been 3 storming during schiano’s tenure.
Navy in 2005, we were favored .
Louisville 2006 - not favored
USF - 2007. - not sure but guessing we were not favored

Flood storming Michigan win in 2014 - not sure what the spread was here

Yes absolutely.

Huge game and likely playing for a consensus spot in both national polls (seeing the other match ups). I read somewhere that we have the longest drought of any major conference team. Not sure when the last time we were ranked in the AP was.
We have a long way to go to get ranked, likely 7-0 to crack the AP25. A win this week will probably get us some votes in the 1-10 range.

Beating the team that played CFP Championship.

Headline:
Rutgers Takes Down 2023-24 CFP Championship Team, Fans Storm the Field
I get that Bud but in reality, 18 of 22 starters plus 20-30 reserves are no longer with the program. Should RU storm the field anytime they beat a team with former Husky players? Storming the field should only happen for monumental wins, like L'ville in '06 and definitely shouldn't be planned. I just hope RU can pull this game out

Like I said earlier, a good BC stormed the field for beating an average Mich St. I mean really? They should be embarrassed.

If you are at the game, let me know where you are sitting, I'll come get you and carry you down to the field!

I get it. But it's really just fun for the kids and the younger fans.

This is all fair, but we won't be insta-ranked on the field so it'll still look lame.

Best it does is further highlight our record long ranking drought.

Yes - exactly. And once it’s over, that should be exactly what we want. A national picture of a fan base that cares. At least that’s how I see it.

The Navy game in 2005 clinched our first Bowl Game since 1978. The storming of the field had nothing to do with Navy or the point spread.

I didn’t say it had to with Navy or the point spread. Just was pointing out the storms during schiano’s reign .

So you started a thread but people are only allowed to vote? Got it. No comments.

I’m going to start a thread where you can only discuss SHOULD fans storm the field. No talk about if they will or not.
Immediate dismissal of rules are broken.

Will rutgers fans storm the field if we beat Washington ?
Please note, this is a simple yes or no question on whether rutgers fans storm the field or not . Do not pollute this thread with thoughts on whether or not it’s appropriate to storm the field. Just simply stick to the question, whether we storm or not.

I vote yes. Biggest game here in a decade. Night game against last year’s finalist . Fans will storm if we win!
Dumb ass move for a team that is favored. A win will be great, but storming in this scenario looks childish and desperate for attention, IMHO.

You can’t follow directions or answer a question. Who’s the child ?

Another look at me punk on ignore. I suggest others follow suit to help clean things up here, and for our general enjoyment of most posts 😉

It doesn’t matter if Washington is ranked or not- they Played for the Natty just this past year. We also just beat VT.
Yes- storm the damn field and become a fun place to be again.

That might be the headline in the Targum, but nationally it would be something like:

Rutgers Beats #30 Washington, Fans Cringe-worthily Storm the Field

Lets see .
You came into this thread and :
1. Didn’t follow directions
2. Polluted the thread.
3. Resulted to name calling
4. Then ask to clean things up

lol

Did folks forget that we got ragged on for that '14 Michigan storming? From there, we proceeded to shit the bed for the next eight years. Hard.

Can we actually wait until a universally acceptable triumph to do that again, for our own sake?

Yes , that was 10 years ago. The current Rutgers students were in elementary school.

It’s a landslide so far . With 87% voting that there will not be a field storming in the event of Rutgers win
