...From an Ohio State National Championship...being under an excellent/ "top in the nation" coach in Urban Meyer...being part of a "winning" program that settles for nothing but winning a National Championship...and being chosen by Urban Meyer as Defensive Coordinator for Ohio State Football (which is extremely difficult...and an honor). All TOP "PEDIGREE"...and all should bode well for recruiting...producing a well prepared/ tough-competitive team...and more and more "W's" IMO. Of course, only time will tell...but that goes with any new coach/ new hire.

GO RU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he means it in a good way, lol.

it's been on ongoing thing here ever since some recruits started tweeting about programs w/ stain. aka swagger.
Thanks VM! I have to catch up with "the lingo"...lol! I like it.

Don't bother with this stupid phrase. It's a gang term used to refer to hierarchies within the gang. Those with more "stain" are higher up. Affluent white people who don't know this think it refers to college football coaches' recruiting abilities.

It's a crap shoot - 50/50 the guy has never been a head coach - it could be Belichick with the Browns or Belichick with the Pats -nobody knows at this point.
He better find his Tom Brady and quick.
imo

Actually it wasn't an "affluent white" person who lamented Floods lack of "stain" but a black recruit who enriched the lexicon. No doubt it stuck because it was so apt a description - not that RU has anything to do with gang type stuff lol.

Our recruiting when it comes to defensive players should improve by leaps and bounds and we might see that right away.

Scarlet Scourge,

I agree!...especially with an Ohio State background. We now have a defensive minded coach that was worthy enough to be at Ohio State...at the helm of our team...expecting A+ performances in every game IMO...with the best recruits he can get out there to accomplish his mission of getting "W's". Winning brings in better recruits which creates more winning...so to speak. We need ENERGY on the field...and we need NOT to settle for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc., etc. best (so to speak). We need to be "a ball of fire" on the field and on the sideline... and break away from this "vanilla"/ " low energy"/ "feel good" crap that we got with Flood. Changes in this ridiculous "Flood Mantra" should come right away... and the "W's" will follow as the culture of expecting nothing but "peddle to the metal football" (which WE KNOW Urban Meyer believes in) for the ENTIRE GAME and the better recruits start flowing in. The great thing is New Jersey is a hot bed for extremely talented high school football players...defensive and offensive. Will winning happen asap?...nobody knows... but as long as we see quality coaching with HIGHER EXPECTATIONS...and better recruits...we would be on "the right track"... and it justifies renewing my season tickets every year...as far as I am concerned. Only time will tell...but I like what I see so far...from Ash to Hobbs.

Thanks for the excellent reply!
