That was a complete bullshit whistle on the sideline...ball was clearly cleared off the foot prior to very minimal contact IF any at all (just prior to the great save by Murphy).

I feel good a tie so far since they got more pressure, but we did look better as the half went on...

1st Half Thoughts:
- Murphy is the shit!
- don't see any kind of above average "team speed" from WVU...sorry 'Eer!
- our D is easily collapsing on WVU when they move the ball into our 3rd
- our O still looks lost (see: youth) once into the WVU 3rd
- we might be in better overall shape. I expect to see a few subs again early in the 2nd period to have starters ready for the final 10-15 minutes of regulation and OT

WVU looks like the more skilled side. We seem content to allow them to control the ball and pack it in. No shots and no corners thus far and almost no ball control in the oppositions defensive zone.
Getting hosed by the refs. 3 or 4 horsesh*t calls against RU. Going to have to beat them as well. What else is new for us.
Nor surprising in the least. They're an older, more experienced, and the NCAA 2016 runner-up, whereas 21 of 28 on our roster are frosh or sophs. Kinda makes sense ya' know?
What would make you say you're in better shape? In my opinion we're winning the 50/50 balls.

I thought we lost of lot of the early one-on-one battles because they were a step faster. We are adjusting to it though.

We looked stronger the final 10 of the half. Could just be a substitution thing. I believe you’re only substitute in the entire half was when the one young lady got injured. I think we had four or five?
Am I losing my mind or is that the second time today that they’ve called offsides on us when they were at least 2 West Virginia defenders past the person who the offside was called on?

We are not close to threatening to score at this point. At some point giving up corners will haunt us.
Getting to PKs is probably our best chance at this point. We seem a little more dangerous as the game progress but not much.
