Not sure if the people that run the park would go along, but I was thinking this would be a great place to have a satellite camp for Rutgers. Tons of open fields with great backdrops--Statue of Liberty,Ellis Island,Hudson River, Liberty Science Center, and Jersey City and New York City skylines. Thumbs up or down ?

After the Liberty National Park camp, we can have film session on the Empire State Building observation deck.

Classof02,lining the fields would not be a big deal. Depending on if the camp included field goal kickers,we wouldn't even need goal posts.--Abro, you just gave me some great ideas--how about a camp on top of the USS New Jersey in Camden or the cruise ships in Bayonne ? Or a small camp on top of the A.J Meerwald ? Or camps on the beaches at Wildwood,Ocean City,Point Pleasant, etc. Maybe one at Paramus Catholic ? Maybe one at Xanadu ? Maybe one at Eric Murdock's house ? Lots of possibilities out there !!!

Randalls Island in NY might be an option. My daughter has played in several national softball tournaments there. Roughly 80 softball, baseball and soccer fields.

OK,so I am a little bored so I came up with some more unique places in New Jersey to hold Rutgers satellite camps--
In front of the capital in Trenton
High Point--well actually in front of High Point, not on top of the actual monument
Pulaski Skyway--at night during a very thick fog
Mountain Creek/Accident Park--see how quickly the recruits can bounce back from injuries
In the safari at Great Adventure--now we will find out who is fast when it REALLY matters
On the Cape May Lewes Ferry ( in coordination with the University of Delaware)
Cowtown
Albert Music Hall (for kids from South Jersey and those from south of the Mason_Dixon Line)
hahahahahahahahahaha Raceway Park--(for receivers only)

OK, I am done for now

Oh wait,
Inside Atlantic City Convention Hall--maybe they still have the sod from the old State Championship games

I think you'd want a football field, but if we could make soccer facilities work, there are a few around in really impressive settings.

The soccer field at Sinatra Park in Hoboken might work. The views there are stunning.

Years and years ago I remember hearing/reading the Tisch had given land along the Weehawken landing for NYU to use to build athletic fields. I guess that never happened.
