I know the decision has already been made on Rutgers' end but maybe theres a legit, quality D1 player right under their noses.

According to this nj . Com article, Newark East Side's Anas Amos has 107 wins and 2 Group 4 Championships as a 4 year starter, 1000 points as a point guard, great defender, great bball IQ, great student and person. But the fact that hes 5-7 has prevented him from getting any D1 offers.

The answer is no because Mulcahy is the point guard recruit who also has height .

Coming off the Souf Mensa debacle, Pike can’t risk it with a 5-8 PG with no D1 offers in the B1G. With Mulcahy and Young coming in, guards are a lower immediate priority right now.

Chris Lykes, the PG at Miami, is 5'7"... he was rated a 4-star recruit. So height isn't everything even to scouting services. Additionally since he plays for East Side there's no doubt he's been seen by college coaches.

We need forwards and guys who can stroke it.

Young, Mulcahy, RHJ, Mathis, Caleb, Kiss, Geo.... we have plenty of Guards rn.

We are strong at guard... after 12/28 CC open practice, Pike informed a group of us that he’s looking for a “man” so a JUCO or international player to provide strength and leadership qualities. Coach Young at the last CC meeting said that staff have a list of candidates to fulfill last scholarship so I would expect a talented big who can score.

I can confirm this. From the look of things, a big man appears to be on the way.

Kind of figured Rutgers is set at guard. Just a shame that this kid would have some offers if he was 6 feet... and/or from another program/city...

Can we confirm the gender too?
