WrestleStat Week 3 Dual Comparisons

Here's this weekends dual comparisons, starting today.

There are some big matchups this weekend. First one that comes up is the dual between Oklahoma and Michigan.
Another dual that lots of fans are anticipating is between #3 Ohio State and #21 Arizona State. OSU is the heavy favorite here, but it's the feature matches that are piquing fans interest. Specifically, Snyder vs Hall (where Hall has beaten Snyder before in the past) as well as Bo Jordan vs Zahid Valencia.
The last 2 duals to note are #19 Rutgers vs #29 Princeton in "Battle at the Birthplace" where they will take their dual to High Point Solutions Stadium (where Rutgers plays their football games).
The last one may be the biggest/best matchup of the weekend where #5 Missouri takes on #7 Virginia Tech. These are two teams that are extremely solid top to bottom and looking to make some serious noise at the National Tournament this year.

I like the video links for some of the matches. Hopefully more of that on the way. The site keeps getting better and better.

Have you considered noting when there is not enough data? The Kolodzik thing is just ridiculous and I am sure is happening with a lot of high profile guys who haven't really wrestled. I understand why that result is happening, but for people who aren't paying attention, it may cause the site to lose credibility. Just my 0.02.

Yeah the videos are an awesome addition. As the library goes, I suspect prior matches between wrestlers who are set to face off will be really popular. If I could watch the videos from Ash v. Kolodzik last year, that would be a must watch heading into this Saturday.

I also dig the match predictor...thats just a fun thing to see what the computer thinks the result will be.

On the insufficient data, I guess I am talking about the ranking in general as well as the prediction part. If anything, the prediction really hits home the flaw, because it gives a result no one would expect. I was thinking some way to "asterisk" true freshman and ivy greyshirt freshman (or wherever else this is an issue) for half a season until there is sufficient data or something to make it clear that that prediction is up in the air. Sort of like the way they don't do BCS/Playoff rankings in football until the season is half over.
