Yikes! Rutgers +37

Urban greatly appreciated Chris Ash's loyalty by not leaving before the season was over. Urban's still going in dry...it's what he does.

I'd be happy if we beat the spread. With our best offensive player and very good defnsive palyers out, it does look pretty dire (and I'm an optimist)......

Does it really matter? Whether or not we beat the spread, we're going to lose big.

Knowing this ahead of time, the real bet is how many game thread trolls will show up for this game? How many will call for the coaching staff to be fired? I really wish they would just worry more about Uconn and Cuse than us, we are in the Big Ten and they are not, but they can't help themselves.

I predict a record amount, even the ones that only showed up for the opening will return.

All it takes I one big donor to lay 500k on the game for Rutgers to cover on a tease and everyone will get screwed. Final score RU-14. OSU-56

RU +37pts +7pts +14pts=58
OSU = 56

Very doable. End result is a very big Cha Ching.

Does anyone else not understand this? I'm lost on this one.

Their 2nd stringers are better than our starters besides Grant and his career at Rutgers appears to be over due to injury. So even if Meyer pulls the starters in the 4th or even 2nd half, it won't make much difference to be honest. There is nothing we can do against a team like that, even if we are perfect, we will still lose 99 times out of 100. Hopefully in the future that will no longer be the case.

Michigan on the other hand will go all out to pile on as many points as possible. They have scored at least 45 points in every game thus far and they want to make an example out of us to help their recruiting in New Jersey.

These next two weeks are going to suck.

I hope we at least score something and not just the by the way FG or two. At least make them work for some points without too many short fields.
Should have the option of taking/laying the 37 or how much we will be able to score, maybe 10.
Let's see if all the seats are filled at KO. Has to be some kind of negative for OSU. Oh, it's not homecoming !

Start off with the 37 we are given. Add in a TD in the 1st half for 7. Then give our backup qbs 2 scores against OSU students and you have 58.
But can we hold them to 56 !

But the post said 56-14, which would be a loss; and why does everyone get screwed?

If Ohio St scores 7 TDs and 3 FGs they will have 58. All we need is 3 TDs for 21 to lose by 37

Where are these RU TDs coming from? Grant is not playing.

Also, expect OSU to score a few defensive TDs and maybe a punt return or 2.

Joining the BIG10 has been such a humbling experience. I don't even say that to be negative or whine, I just genuinely did not appreciate how difficult it is to hang with the bluebloods.

Barring the strangest of occurances that could possibly happen this week, there is no way we win. Unless the weather is atrocious or OSU gets hit with a virus and even than, we still have to score a few points.
Sometimes things just go your way, but this is asking a lot.
Even Cumberland couldn't pull it off against Georgia Tech.

we may get a couple of field goals. I don't see any TDs. We couldn't even make consistent TDs vs the Iowa D. We aren't doing shit vs the OSU D

Maybe Meyer takes it easy on his boy Ash. Osu could easily cover that number + though

38 points now, i can't see how it could get higher. Either way i think OSU covers, but like the tease equation outlined above.
