OT: Sports Betting Thread

How does everyone feel about the RU Hoops game today?

I really wanted to hammer it, but -5.5 seems like a lot to give.

Might have to wait for Temple to go on a run to hit it live.

Just posting here to express my disappointment and disgust about the two sports betting propositions on the California ballot. One was to allow for sports betting at Indian Casinos; the other was to allow online sports betting. I favored the online betting prop, but there was a huge amount of money spent. By late August, over $350 million was spent on these two propositions with brutal negative advertising leading the way. As is the case with huge spending on controversial propositions and initiatives, both measures failed. I really wish I could partake on some online sports gambling, but not to be for the foreseeable future.

BTW, since I'm in a grumpy mood on this, does anyone else hate the sports betting commercials on podcasts where they provide information on sports gambling addictions for every single state where sports betting is legal?

OK, rant over. Carry on with the betting stuff.

Perhaps the craziest thing about that was how lopsided the vote was.

Like 85% of voters shot it down.

That seems off to be, I’d be willing to bet Vegas made a house call on that one.

Clay Travis lock of the week is Penn state -19.

I like northwestern plus 17.5
Uconn plus 10.5

I love making picks and following along with the action. I've been on a bit of a cold streak lately, but I'm hoping to turn things around soon. I've been keeping an eye on the best sports picks website, and they've got some great insights and predictions that I've been using to make my selections.
One of the things I love about sports betting is the unpredictability of it all. You never know which team or player is going to have a monster performance, and that's what makes it so exciting. It would be so cool to see someone get on a heater and make some big winnings. And of course, if someone does get hot, I wouldn't mind jumping on the bandwagon and tailing for a bit.

I took Colorado -3.5 last Sunday thinking the line would just keep growing and growing by today. Naturally, it’s gone down. What am I missing here
