Not everything has to be transactional in life. When you invest in the basketball program, you improve the chances of positive outcomes on the basketball court. Is there a guarantee? Of course not. We watch because there is no guarantee. We invest so that Rutgers can put the optimal product out there. That’s the payoff.The thing is, the average fan skipping out on a family movie night to give $50 to players grants them literally nothing in exchange. At best, if thousands of others to the same, there's a chance that there's a portal player that might make an impact. It's gambling, with no immediate payoff, and no way if knowing if it had any impact at all. There's no line drawn between action and effect.
If it affected priority points, at least you could see a tangible number that could improve your seating/parking/gameday experience. But that's also robbing Peter to pay Paul, since it likely wouldn't increase overall donations but merely shift them from the school to the players
Let’s goProbably, yeah, but they already are mostly better than the defenders. Dylan can already pretty much get to the hoop, well could when he was healthy, and Ace can already shoot over everyone. Unfortunately, I'm not sure more Ace and Dylan really make anything better, they already make 48% of our shots. Need others to score more efficiently and better defense.
I see what you did there! ;-)It was out of respect for the school with the bird as a mascot who flaps his wings nonstop through out the game. It is rumored he has an early bed time
So that means it's due to go up after earnings! Just like in roulette.....too many blacks in a row means a red is next, right? :)Funny I was just looking at their chart and saw today was earnings.
Kind of looks like it wants to reverse, just needs some good news.
Is their actually "bankruptcy" calls out there? I would think they could still sell stock to raise money.
Edit: Oh Boy. Stock reaction last 4 qtr's. Down 13.6%. Down 9.7%. Down 5%. Down 39%.
That is a screaming buy.
Hopefully Dylan doesn’t even travel, if he does he shouldn’t play a second.Until we’re mathematically eliminated from the B1G tourney we still have a chance to win our way into the big dance.
Also, I believe finishing 8-3 in the regular season will put us on the bubble. That would require winning our remaining 5 home games plus 3 road games. It can be done.
Has to start with a W at Northwestern.
And we need Dylan at 80% or better, 25 or more productive minutes per game the rest of the way.
Let’s do it.
Funny I was just looking at their chart and saw today was earnings.Lots of earning today, including WOLF. Is it worth some lottery ticket weekly calls betting on a pop? Seems like everyone thinks WOLF is on the verge of bankruptcy. Good set-up for a dead cat bounce?
@RUinPinehurst - any thoughts on today's report?
I would rather Alonso back but if we don't and they spread that money around 2,3,4 more guys the outcome will be relatively similar even though it won't be as much star power. Stearns is going to go into the season with a certain projected win amount and he's going to hit or come close to that amount whether it's option A Alonso or option B spread money. Basically what the Yanks did when they lost out on Soto.Do the Mets run the risk of upsetting their stars like Lindor or Soto who is expecting the Mets to field the best possible team for a World Series run? Even signing someone else short term, the Mets will field a weaker team and how will that sit with fans?
