Slowing down is definitely more important!
Good point. I was pleasantly surprised this morning driving Rte 4 at the lack of SUV gladiators on the road

Slowing down is definitely more important! It's ridiculous that these towns don't pretreat the roads when a storm is coming. They're cheap and it causes accidents that could've been avoided.
Getting the trains running would be faster if you put the Scotch down and use two hands. 😁
Tyler just pulled in from VA about an hour go. Ham's cooking, fireplace is roaring, Corey and I are working on getting the trains running around the tree.
I always assumed Fink was Lester's creation...great stuff...****ing EPIC right here!!!
Only the 2nd Schiano bowl I'll be missing (had a family issue for St. Pete) and it's killing me because none of our crew or a related 2nd crew we sometimes hang with 15+ good friends) wanted to go and I didn't want to try to justify going alone to the boss.Seriously…this is killing me
Seriously…this is killing meEasy and the 2400 miles can be split into about two equal segments, with the first half mostly at an average of 80 mph (speed limits 65-70) and the 2nd half at an average of 90 mph where speed limits are mostly 75-80 mph, which translates into 28.4 hours of driving time. Add in 5 stops for gas and fast food and bio breaks (~15 min each), that's 30 hours of travel time. Assuming no major traffic problems. You and I could do that no problem. Now I want to go, lol.

We also had to drive south first, to the team hotel IIRC, which cost us about an extra hour. That traffic on the way back sucked - the drive back was much more of a blur to me than the way down.
How was this a “bust?”One more bust to end 2024.
That traffic on the way back sucked - the drive back was much more of a blur to me than the way down.As fast and easy as that drive down was, including snow from Metuchen to DC, the ride back was equally as long and freaking awful! Was talking to Eric about it at the basketball game last week how we managed to stop for fast food twice - Wendy’s in Arby’s IIRC - between Orlando and Jacksonville It took us so long lol!!!
My disagreement with you is withPrinceton . They are a good team and a team that will make the NCAA tourney. Kennesaw is not an NCAA team and like I said we win 9 out of 10 times. My only point about Kennesaw was they were about a 135 NET team when we played them not a 300 NET team. Pike never thought for a minute he would lose that game when he scheduled it as ACE’s homecoming
Unless you're operating a giant heat lamp, there's no way all of you new snow is melted, unless you're just talking about paved surfaces or you got a lot less snow, which I don't think was the case, or maybe a very sunny spot next to a lot of warm boundaries exposed to the sun (paved surfaces, trees/decks/rocks etc.). The snow will be gone after the warm-up and rain this weekend though.Yes all my new snow melted and also losing the snowpack now from the other nuisance event
