It sucks being a Rutgers fan

Fact is Kansas State finished 8th in the Big 12 this year. 8th. And they were playing back-ups at RB and WR. Few RU Fans will see this game as a positive. Especially since we lost 2 other games this season in similar fashion.
Eh - honestly, most fans didn’t care that much about the actual Rate game outcome. The future of the D is a concern but with Greg I’m more comfortable betting on us getting that side of the ball sorted out. Can we replace Pierce on the OL? That’s my big question. He’s a huge loss.

Wow - is this really a debate? Do you guys not see what Princeton’s resume looks like? On paper they are not a good team. There’s nothing good on their resume you could point to. Most of the teams they beat besides us are under 500 and stink. One is against a D2 team. Texas State, LC, and Wright St are losses like Kennesaw or worse. You can’t have 3 losses like that and be in the at large conversation. Furman isn’t good either.

The issue is who do you replace him with?

With Schiano, the floor becomes mediocre bowls. Apparently, that’s the ceiling as well.

Bring someone else in and you can crater the program and set it back a decade.
Why do people seem to think that you need a known name coach if Schiano is to be replaced. There are plenty of successful coaches at mid-majors and FCS programs on the east coast that could do as good, if not a better job for less dollars. Good coaches with good systems just win.

It is harder to win at Rutgers. Post-Dobbs, it is borderline impossible until their is a salary cap.
Then explain Indiana's success. How about James Madison and other mid-majors with more success than a B1G program. Good coaches can win with less talent, while bad coaches underachieve. Schiano continues to prove that.

Why Did DC Leave Before Bowl?

I don't understand why our DC left before the bowl game. Was there a falling out between he and Schiano?
The situation just doesn't make sense. Do any insiders know the details?
Because he's not Terry Shea or Chris Ash. Most coaches aren't.

Edit: Numbers beat me to it, but said it much better than I could.
