OT: NJ Golf season

Absolutely and agree with you. A live and let live vibe when it comes to that place. Walk through parking lot over to Huddys after the round for some entertainment in the summer stage.
I haven't played Pebble Creek in about 10 years but I recall it being a dog track. Great place for beginners and outings. The course was pretty beat up last time I played and I am always wary of courses with power lines (especially the first hole). My brother lives just down the road in Freehold and still plays it but he's a hack. 😀 He will typically book something else when I am in the area.

I know a couple people that have played caves. They spoke very highly of it and raved about the experience. I never heard of the place nor saw it on any lists until they went a couple of years ago. Just like Congressional, you need to know the right people. I’m sure your congressional guy can get you on because it’s all about the reciprocal. It’s about being a member of a club that is held in equal regard as Caves.
So as insane as this might sound, it’s not unheard of for people to get on congressional just like you and I, Caves is a different animal and you have no idea how jealous I am of anyone who gets to play it, lol.

Caves you must be a member of another elite country club to even be invited as a member. My client who’se a member at congressional has only been able to play caves less than 5 times in his life, he’s been a member at congressional for nearly a decade now. It’s friggan impossible almost to get on so genuinely if you’re buddies have a way to get on I will do/pay a SILLY amount to play it.

When I say it’s the most exclusive club on the east coast north of Augusta it’s really not an exaggeration…. God I wanna play it so bad

They hosted the BMW championship in 2021 if you wanna see some footage of the place

Freshman on the road......

It's still an obvious thing that freshman are going to be wildly inconsistent, even super skilled/talented ones like Harper and Bailey and even Zoom Diallo for Washington.

But there were a lot of people on threads earlier this week, who arent qualified to talk about toughness or talent in terms of basketball, trying to downplay the talent of the 4 RU freshman.

65 total points
(22 of 28 from FT line)
5 of 13 from 3 point range (38.4%)
13 rebounds
4 assists
2 blocks
5 steals
7 turnovers

And with these types of numbers, the roster just needed something from its other contributors, which it did tonight from

JWill timely baskets and plays (2 3s) .

Acuff (1 3 pointer) and decent minutes.

JMike playing within the gameplan.

Martini adding an assist in 16 minutes.

Even a Derkack with a steal and a 3 before the untimely 2 turnovers or rushed passes in the 1st half and total of 5 minutes.

It's very tough to ask for 50 to 60+ points, 15 to 20 rebounds, 5 to.7 assists and 5+ blocks/steals from the freshman in order to win.....especially a B1G road game.....but that's where this roster is right now. Debating how we got here is already obvious, there's little point to argue about nonsense when this was always my reality and where RU sports is, in this NIL environment.

I don't know if there are too many wins the rest of the way unless there's this equation of productivity. But it takes some patience that knowledgeable hoops fans understand is part of the process.

Inconsistent play is most of the equation with freshman, so it's anyone's guess on what to expect the rest of the way. But I'm on board willing to see it play out with freshman logging minutes.

Everyone is complaining about the offense, but ….

I’ve actually believed the “minimal/no Rutgers NIL for Ace/Dylan” (based on no real evidence).

I chalked it up to HC Pike being able to cover the NIL gap with recruiting pitch and get them here.

If it was Duke $1m and Rutgers $0 (old pre-NIL system) - HC Pike isn’t overcoming that.

But Duke $1.5m (outside plus Duke NIL) and Rutgers $1m (mostly outside) - HC Pike can sell that and overcome it.
Do you really think this is the gap we are facing ???

Hint …based on pieces I’ve put together , it’s a lot more than that

Jeremy Grantham himself admitted this. Big Tech broke his model. Enjoy watching. :)

I have to say ever since I abandoned fundamentals and focused on growth, technicals, sentiment/momentum, etc. my returns are almost 3X for the last 6 months when compared to last year. I don’t like the approach. But between the algos, social media, and retail traders we now live in a different world.

Really looking forward to it.

Then I’ll just have one left around me of the ‘must plays’, and I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever have the opportunity to play it…. Caves Valley. The things I would do to get on that course. But unless your friggan Kevin Plank you can all but forget it

Basketball Rutgers Basketball keeps B1G Tournament hopes alive, downs Washington in OT

Don't mind ru66 he will just make up shit out of thin air...can he even produce the names of posters that predicted a big loss?

There weren't that many predictions in the thread period but there was only one prediction of a blowout loss and Joey Bags predicts a blowout loss pretty much every game.
