Rutgers was 8-5 entering JanuarySorry. You do not lose 3/4 and get absolutely truck stomped by Maryland and only move one spot down. They were not an SEC powerhouse and in the top 10 for the season. The NET supposedly rewards you for keeping game within 10 but also punishes teams that lose by 21 on their home court. They should have dropped to 13-15.
You seem to downplay the significance of Dylan. Why I don’t know ? We have already identified the supporting cast as extremely disappointing and incapable of overcoming it , like these other teams you suggest. Illinois couldn’t overcome it and their supporting cast is 10 times better than ours. It makes a huge difference. No one is going to jump on you for saying missing Dylan affected our games. Dylan turning his ankle played a huge role in the Penn State loss as it didn’t just affect him physically but he couldn’t get in any rhythm the rest of the night and missed shots he normally makes. Shots that would have made a difference between a win and a loss. Your downplay of his flu bug and now his injury is bizarre.
You want to just assume Rutgers wins games with 100% Dylan.
You need to win games when your top player goes out
