It was the NIL, said days ago that it was a huge NIL. That was the deciding factorA little shocked that Iowa got him. I thought for sure it would be OKST. That said, he looked happiest in the Iowa pictures. Anyhow, glad that is done with and I guess we'll be seeing a lot of him and a surge in Iowa recruiting again, just like they had with Lee, except I suspect it'll have a bigger effect. Bo is just much more outspoken (as times are different). Anyhow, glad we'll see him in the Big10 against PSU.
Stripeout gameNeed to make sure the Illinois fans know to wear black. Can’t have half the crowd in the wrong color.
Bratt and Jack : -4…two of the most overrated players in the league
Jacks new name should be “ Dude Perfect “
You only see the made trick shot basket not the 300-500 prior attempts. Except as devils fans watching every game we see the numerous costly turnovers not just the highlight goal once a week on espn
Finally, some reasonable analysis.Meanwhile,
increasing warm advection will cause spotty light snow in the
evening to become widespread as we head deeper into the night,
then start transitioning to sleet and freezing rain inland and
mostly just plain rain at the immediate coast. This system
currently appears very standard overall, with minimal if any ice
near the coast and highest amounts northwest of I-95,
especially in the higher elevations. In addition, light snow
accumulations will mostly be an inch or less, with best
potential for more than an inch across the Poconos and northern
New Jersey. Guidance continues to vary somewhat between details,
so some modest shifts are possible, but overall feel reasonably
sure to have issued fairly widespread winter weather advisories
with this package, with the main concern being the freezing
rain.
Most areas likely switch to plain rain by midday, by which
point the steadier precip is tapering off, though low clouds,
mist and drizzle may end up lingering into Thursday night before
a secondary cold front pushes across the region and clears out
the low level moisture. Could be a few showers with said front,
but not much presently. Temperatures, which likely rise to near
40 or higher across much of the area except the far north late
Thursday, currently look likely stay above freezing across much
of the region Thursday night before and during the cold frontal
passage, except in the northernmost parts of the region, so
right now re-freeze potential looks minimal.
Talking about him pushing snow totals, not ice. He loves to pimp unrealistic forecasts that bust most of the time.I would normally agree with you on this but the ice/freezing rain factor can make the morning commute problematic and schools in a tough position on whether to delay or close. A bit more complex than usual.
Not understanding your point. You said you didn’t go to the university. How are they supposed to find you as a donor? Write a big check and I guarantee you will get a call. Your story about your high school is not remotely close. It would be if it was a high school you didn’t go to. I’m not a big donor but give enough that I get letters from the deans to thank me for the donations.Hobbs was effective at pushing things through because he was a politician. People can disagree with that fact, but that’s just my take.
The Halloway/Hobbs thing was super short lived. Rutgers needs alignment for 20+ years to get to where they need to get to.
Three years ago I committed to giving a sizable (for me) annual donation to my high school (private NE prep). I did this for several reasons. Their rep connected with me and made me feel a part of the school/team again, we met for lunch and shared stories. I said I want all the money going towards the men’s lacrosse program and they gave me multiple donation levels and were direct about what they’d be buying with each level. Lastly, I had an overall awesome experience at the school and I’m happy to contribute towards that for the people coming after me.
I got a hand written letter from school leadership thanking me for my commitment, and a nice Nike men’s lacrosse hat. I was happy with that, and knowing I could help improve the experience of future lax teams at my old stomping grounds is awesome for me.
RU’s problem is that they’ve put out minimal effort. I’ve been around the University since I was like 5 years old, I’ve posted on this board since I was like 16. Other than John Newman posting about his NIL thing on here, not once has anyone ever reached out to me to make a donation. Or is the expectation that I go out of my way to give up money to a university I didn’t go to?
If they’re targeting RU grads only then their fundraising strategy is horrible. There are plenty of non grads in the area that are proud to call RU their state university. Maybe they should try providing those people with more access for some small donations. The truth is our B1G peers have a bigger pool to draw from because the university is an extension of the state/region, not just the people that actually went there.
I think the lack of leadership and the Hobbs contract buyouts make that unlikely. But I hear you. Watch out though many like the slide back to the bottom and are just happy it’s not Jordan coaching. It’s ok to be bad as long as we’re not that bad.1. New Head Coach
You provided 19 legitimate items that need to be addressed all of which have been a problem for multiple years.
If we are taking the time to list the top 5 of the 19 things that are wrong isn’t simply the head coach?
