OT: Cooking up some LoBro!

I always put pork and beef in my tomato sauce (gravy in South Philly) and my beef choice yesterday was London Broil! Super tender after 3 1/2 hours. It was cut into smaller pieces and I had to use the big spoon to pull them out of the sauce, fork went right threw it. Will pull it apart in the next few days and have a Italian beef, sauce and mozzarella on a good roll this week!
I make an awesome braciole for my homemade sauce. I wish it wasn't so good and people loved it because it's the biggest pain in the ass to make tying each individual piece. I usually just make bigga meataballs. I find when I put any type of meat in the acidity of the sauce really goes down and makes for a better sauce. my standard is to make about 5 gals. every few months and freeze it

Men’s Lacrosse Travels to No. 20 Lehigh For Saturday’s Opener

Watched the replay.

One, if you want to know how injuries really impacted last season, the two top scorers for this game missed most of last season with injuries.

Two, Splaine seems like the typical does all the little things right that don’t always show up in the box score type of player. Like picking off a couple of passes.

Three, if there’s one player that will benefit the most from a healthy roster, it’s Kulas. Just thought injuries the past two seasons really forced him into a role that didn’t fit his strengths.

OT: Stock and Investment Talk

NASDAQ 100 futures getting pummeled. (Down 2.55%). Should be interesting to see if there are any opportunities, or wait to things settle. I’m going to be cautious, but will look for any opportunities that make sense to me. (i.e. stocks that are fairly or undervalued, but drop with the rest of the market in sympathy.)
On Friday morning I bought an international stock etf. Bad timing

OT: Star Ledger ending Print Edition This Weekend

I won't miss it and haven't bought in maybe a decade. But man there was a time as a kid in the late 80s and early 90s where I couldn't wait to get that Sunday sports section during baseball season. Looking through all the box scores and the season stat leaders was just great as a young baseball fan. Now, with access immediately, I couldn't tell you one season stat leader from last year, nor do I GAF!
Truth.

Who of our guys goes earliest in Aprils draft

I
Pierce is likely a 4th round pick with a good combine.
Monangai is likely a 5th round pick.
Powell needs an elite combine to be more than a late pick. Even then he's not going in the 3rd round.
Longerbeam is also a late round pick but could slip out of the draft due to being very light.
Hamilton is my sleeper on sliding in as a late round pick with the versatility he showed this year.

I think KM is more likely 4th rd.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights Open

WE are so lucky to have Chloe! What an amazing achievement. Hope to see her in the Olympics one day.
Totally agree. Gets the 15' monkey off her back early in the season this year...she is destined to be so much better than that, I think. I have always been afraid she was going to pick up and leave us to transfer to a school with a record of real T&F success. She has probably been Rutgers' single most successful individual athlete, in any sport, over her career here. Go Chloe! Go RU! Rutgers to become Pole Vault U!!!!!

Ace Bailey - Big Ten Home vs Road Performance Oddities

Of course home court is an advantage. You can lose game in spite of an advantage.
It’s less of one this year. Yesterday the students didn’t fill in their seats and showed up late. At its loudest the arena was just not very loud. The only old fashioned energy this year was the Penn State game and to a lesser extent Seton Hall. Part of this I blame on the team not winning at a home and part on the dominance of the crowd deflating techno music and endless tee shirt tosses that suck the place dead. Couldn’t even get up a defense chant yesterday. It’s just not much of a home court advantage this year. I’m sure there are more reasons than those I mentioned.
