OT: New ACC Deal To Reward Clemson and FSU?

FSU and Clemson wasn't sure if they'd win and despit the money they shelled out trying to leave might wind up losing their case and have to stay until the GOR ran out.
The ACC felt it could win but it was costing them more then they found acceptable, though necessary to survive, and knew they would might wind up having other programs thinking about jumping ship when the GOR expires just to make sure they don't wind up holding the bag like some of the PAC programs did when that conference lost it's top programs to the B1G and others went B-12 .
So a compromise was reached to satisfy Clemson and FSU's desire to receive more money and the other conference members desire for stability by giving Clemson and FSU what they wanted in exchange for staying .
My concern now is after seeing how the ACC compromised with it's better football programs, will the top ACC basketball programs start wanting the same treatment

With only 2 teams in the top 25 and getting destroyed by the SEC in the head to head, the B-Balls teams might not say much. Plus Bball has a lower revenue percentage.

Ironically, the teams sacrificing money will be their Northern teams.. Pitt, Syracuse, Boston College, Virginia... Less competition for northeast kids possibly.

Dylan Harper's Latest Instagram Post? Is he done?

Y’all really need to find something better to do then speculate on an 18 year olds instagram posts.

Pike said it’s day to day and unless he really can’t we all know Dylan wants to play. Save the mental breakdowns for if anything actually official comes out.
They didn’t learn from his time as a recruit. They assumed every post he made was a sign that he wasn’t coming to RU.

They struck a deal
League got security, Noles got $$ based off metrics, and time / $$ off GOR

Bryce, very nice

He’s proven to me he’s durable
Yes Bryce ‘s length and athleticism will continue to help us down the stretch. As for ACE , durable he is but his 4 road games in January are off the charts in every way. The shooting % from the field , from 3 , from the foul line , as his minutes have gone up , is breathtakingly out of this world good.

GAME 21 NORTHWESTERN: Eat Hardy Rutgers

Good recap, thought Pike really kicked Collins ass tonight. Pike pushed the right buttons as he limited JWill (maybe his illness caused him to be limited too) and he limited Derkack as well. The offense flowed better with more Acuff and JMike on a night where JWill and Derkack were just being ball dominant ball stoppers. Acuff and JMike combined for 20 pts., 12 assists and 4 boards while JWill and Derkack went for combined 4/2/1. Collins was brutal tonight, not once unless I missed it, did he run a double team at Ace and force others to score instead. Ace was left to roam free against one defender and NWestern paid the price. Terrible job by Collins, he had to try and force Grant, Martini, JMike, Lathan, JWill, Derkack, anybody really BUT ACE, to try and score. Collins never adjusted, he had to force the ball out of Ace’s hands even if it meant the others would get wide open shots. I didn’t understand his strategy at all. If Pike did that and never doubled a player who was killing us we would be killing him, rightfully so.
I thought Collins at the half would adjust and change the strategy with Ace, but he didn't-big surprise.
I thought Acuff had his best game at RU and he moved and defended better than any other game.

NJ Recruiting

The above, plus we've moved to a more national footprint. If you've noticed we have been pulling more recruits from the Midwest and the Southeast.
When RU was in the BE it's recruiting ground basically was in the East and Florida ( Schiano's connections)
After joining the B1G recruiting area expanded to the Midwest and some were recruited in southern states because of being in the B1G.
Now with West Coast programs in the B1G recruiting there will be easier.
Rutgers now is recruiting talent all across the nation, but the recruiting is still stronger in the areas it plays , like the east and midwest and Florida where Greg still can bring in the talent to RU.
