It did bounce several times, but he also had a smooth release and a nice high-arcing shot that allowed for those favorable bounces. He's got skills, though they will be tested in the league.

Also, Ace is tall but not big. I wonder how much help he'll be down low.

I’d argue youre not reading the comments well at all, as instead it’s actually one side saying how he has improvement areas but still provides a valuable role while there’s others that just completely dismiss him cause he can’t shoot. Everyone recognizes he’s not a good shooter, but some can understand basketball doesn’t have to be so binary where if you can’t shoot you don’t deserve minutes. Yes it would be great if we had a 3 and D guard who could shoot 40% from three and also guard on the other end. Unfortunately, those types aren’t widely available and cost you a lot of money and we don’t have that. We gotta deal with what we got and that still leaves us with 9 guys who can really play.

It’s Amazing how a few little furr balls can change your outlook on life in several ways. That little SOB has snuggled on my lap after dinner and laid on me/next to me in bed for 17 years straight. EVERY SINGLE night !!

If you’ve never had a dog or a cat you should definitely give it a shot. Your pet won’t care if the Mets bullpen blew it or the QB missed 3 TD’s vs USC , they just want you to slide over and make room for them on the couch or recliner 😻😻😻😻

Not only the higher price because of higher demand.. those people that normally would have rented the room with no affiliation with a Rutgers game still have to stay SOMEWHERE nearby.. in state. That economic revenue is not lost because of visiting fans.. it is moved elsewhere nearby in the region and that helps New Brunswick as well. The visiting fans spending is truly an ADD to the area in and around New Brunswick/Piscataway.

Of course, people here suggesting fans stay in NYC and train down for the game only does not help.

Literally all I’ve seen you post since last season about basketball is hate on JMike and praise for Simpson and how terrible it is that Simpson got pushed out for JMike. It just makes zero sense. JMike has gotten plenty of comments against him for a game where aside from shooting he did very well. 5 assists 0 turnovers, 3 stocks, he rebounded and defended full court all night. Simpson instead was in a rock fight against Army in which his coach decided to sit him in the crucial moments.

KN's theory is I'm salty b/c FSU sucks this year, and am taking my frustrations out on St. Gregory and his devoted cult of followers (also known as the grouch old guys on this board)

In reality, I'm salty b/c we (Rutgers) are massively underachieving, in GS's 5th year back OTB, with a very favorable schedule and the most talent we've ever had

Yes, we've been hit with injuries
But my frustration lies with Greg's inability to adequately adapt to modern college football

How we traditionally play in bowl games, and specifically the first half of OSU last year (sans the red zone trips), is awesome
But unforthately with Greg, that's not the norm

He thinks this is still 1986 in Happy Valley, learning under Joe Pa, who, in case he missed the memo, actually had the horses to play that way, and moreover, that way doesn't work anymore in the modern game

If that's not clear as day to KN and the rest of the guys who drink the Kool-Aid and suck Greg off, I don't know what to tell them

40 years ago you could afford a Rambis but the game has changed so much with 3 pt shot and spacing that role Philosophy doesn’t play

I think you’re underrating Martini. I think he’s still adjusting as being a tweener. He boxes out every play, communicates and can shoot and a decent finisher whenever he gets the chance. Not going to wow you with anything as he lacks athleticism but I thought he played a pretty good game against Wagner and will be crucial when we verse teams that basically run two big men like Indiana, Washington, Purdue, Michigan.

I may, it's possible, he is a smart player, and we will need that with all the youth. I thought he was relatively invisible against St. Johns, and honestly only better against Wagner because they are small and not very good. For him to be effective, we need that constant energy/movement to result in a couple offensive rebounds - he had none against a team he should have owned. I do think getting up 4 three's was a good sign, but am still worried he won't put up more than a couple once the D is tighter.
