Open DC position

You can't say the schedule is brutal when we have no clear idea of what teams are bring to the table for next year. Other then the name on the front of the Jersey that's about it.
?????
Replacing Michigan St., UCLA, and Nebraska with Oregon, OSU, and Penn St is not more difficult? 3 teams from the Playoffs.
And playing an improved Washington team on the road and on the road at Illinois. Add in Iowa who has won 6 B1G games last season and won 10 games overall in 2023.
Disagree with you. Next year’s schedule is brutal.

Time to take the leap of self custody and fire up a phantom wallet. You’ll love some of the trading that you can do with it.
I think it is available via the COIN wallet since it is a SOL-based token. That's a half-ass way to self custody! By the way, SHDW cratered likely due to Trump's meme sucking up the action. Maybe that is ripe for a trade?

Ace and Dylan Topps Now Card Thread

I finally received the Ace Bailey card today and had a redemption card for sneaker autograph relic orange parallel. What's the value of that? Definitely worth the wait.
I got my first Bailey cards today too (his forst card) and got a redemption for a "Sneaker Autograph Relic Red parallel", I am pumped to get it!

Last night was our worst defensive night since November 16, 2019.....but

I'll be honest
1. We don't know if those reports are true
2. I don't blame a player for doing that.....not that I like it though
3. Lathan needs to grow
4. Ogbole is the center I strongly want back

On one - we don’t know “for sure” but in an interview Pike mentioned that risk of losing other players on the roster played a role in recruiting decisions when he was asked about why we didn’t pick up a 5. You can pretty much connect the dots.

On 2, I don’t entirely agree. Or at least, I strongly believe that there are incoming frosh out there not thinking that way. There’s a big difference from trying to get the most you can out of your personal NIL for the coming season and going as far as wanting to find a destinationn where you will get the opportunity to put up immediate stats out of the gate to boost your next year earning potential even if on a losing team. Many kids who aren’t lottery picks still want to go to the best program fit for their college career growth in the long run as frosh - now ultimately that way of thinking also has a NIL hold pot at the end of the tunnel and many of those kids will ultimately transfer too but at least those kids come in with a vision that is aligned with helping their origin team. I prefer those types personally.

Shayne Van Ness

I thought you weren't going to answer to any of my posts. Couldn't control yourself, huh? Do you think what his father did to us was right? Did I mention the kid?I mentioned the father. I'm sure the kid is very nice.I've never met him. If people don't care what I have to say (like you said) then how come I have almost 30k views on my post. That's not a lie, that's a fact.
This is bat shit crazy. The man has a son who is elite. He had a chance to wrestle for what has been the best wrestling program in the country over the past 10 years. To hold some sort of grudge over making a decision that was best for his son over your fandom is super weird and petty. What are the chances that Rod van ness is on some wrestling message board right now acting like a turd or talking about his accomplishments from 40 years ago, or mentioning your name. I’ll give you a hint, it’s less than .000001%.

Anyone else notice Gavin?

Gavin’s story isn’t over. Very athletic, tall and skilled. Clearly not a good defender and Nebraska doesn’t rely on outside shooting like we do. There bigs are better than ours. I’m sure he wouldn’t have wanted their roles but I’d take him over any of our portal guys except Acuff. Nebraska’s bench is shorter.

He’s not athletic. Couldn’t defend a traffic cone. But at least he is a terrible shooter.

Demond Williams Jr.'s QB Coronation: Rutgers Got Off Easy

What an odd stray of an article. Nothing like rewriting history 5 months after the game. If the kid was ready to play at that part of the season he would have played. The boss wasn’t about a freshmen qb only getting minimal starts. It was about a kicker that had a horrific year and a Rutgers team that played with grit and determination.

Anyone else notice Gavin?

What more fans are angry about on this message board regarding Griffiths is the fans on this board who DEFEND Griffiths, who blame Pikiell, etc. I think THAT is where the anger flows from, and then gets redirected onto Griffiths himself.

Plus his family (father in particular) has been active on social media bashing Pikiell , RU - and see above denigrating and dissing Dylan Harper!! Like what on earth are they thinking, and why on earth do they care about Harper? Seems like thewy think RU should have developed Griffiths into what Harper was rated - and is performing at.

Also, it is pretty clear Griffiths' family was the driving force behind him leaving RU to go o Nebraska.

For the record, before last season started, I did believe Griffiths could do well, and had a chance to average 10-12 ppg as a freshman. I felt from his tape he had 3-level scoring (excellent range from 3, driving capability to both finish at the rim and to pull up mid-range makes). And it appeared he was a good passer, with good court vision. He was tall and athletic, so I thought he could be coached to be a defender as well.

I was wrong. But I am not angry at Griffiths ... jst bummed for RU he performed so poorly - and was such a bad defender he could not stay on the court for RU - and when he did, until the last 4-5 games was awfull offensively as well.

Also, for the record, as soon as he announced for Nebraska, then over the Summer, I felt strongly (and posted this), that he would be buried on the bench for Nebraska. Nebraska never made sense, from the star:

1) Nebraska's coach believes in tough, physocal defense from his players ... Griffith does not fit that mold. Not sure wht Hoiberg was thinking, frankly - Griffiths never made sense for his coaching style.

2) More importantly, from Griffiths' perspective, what was he thinking? It was pretty clear there was no obvious role for Griffiths given the players Hoiberg brought into the program. Nebraska had, and brought in, a large number of WF/2G types - all of whom had better records of performance at the P5 level than did Griffiths. They returned Gary (who is an under-sized PF, but plays WF most of the time for Nebraska) at WF, brought in Essegian (a tough sophomore year last year but a MUCH better freshman year than Griffiths had - indeed, the type of year I had hoped for from Griffiths, but did not get: 12 ppg, 35% 3-point shooting, 4 rpg), Ulis as a tough-nosed defender, the coach's son Hoiberg as reserve guard, Worster from Utah (to be the PG) ... and Brice Williams - their star, at 2G, or maybe WF. So Nebraska had Williams, Essegian, Worster, Gary and Hoiberg clearly ahead of Griffiths, 5 players to play 3 WF/G positions ... they had brought in as new transfers Meah, Morgan and Butuktuncel to man the 4/5 position. So .. where was Griffiths? Fighting it with Ulis for being the 9th and 10th players. Griffiths' best case was being the 9th player in the rotation - or MAYBE the 8th player if Essegian blew up like as a Sophomore.
