Poor NIL is the biggest reason for our disappointing season

You don't know shit. Here's a proposal --every time you, KYK and Lou post on this board with a complaint, you donate $100 to NIL. That should raise nearly $1mil at the rate you three complain.
Shifty-
There’s no reason to vent at posters for voicing there opinions.
One guy camped out at the Presidents office in an effort to bring back GS.
The other has been a season ticket holding RU fanatic for 40 years.
So you disagree, sports is about arguing and disagreeing

Politi NAILS IT on Pikiell’s Postgame Comments

Nailed it
You're a laugh.Try folks just donating 4 figures to NIL and Rutgers. I guess guys want to make excuses about contributing shyt. I can't donate 7 figures therefore I donate shyt.. Many who do donate their fan share and are truly loyal to RU find it offensive and bullshyt when guys donate with their mouths and act like know it all.

Should Schiano lighten up on the Cultural match ?

this thread / OP proves: it’s the off-season ;)

But as it’s not a ridiculous question I’ll weigh in….

OP - imho I think your post is a few years too late.

When Schiano 2.0 started (and we had NO talent/ depth) it would have been a very good question to ask whether he should roll the dice with some talented / but questionable kids to bolster the roster.

But now he really does seem to have a plan/ system in place to build up the roster in a long term/ sustainable way

I suppose your question is whether he should alter that to speed it up.

Again , not an absurd question imho.

But I think you’re getting an overwhelmingly consistent response to your question - seems the rest of us are happy to see where Schiano is gonna take this with the system he is employing.

maybe, just maybe, this approach will eventually result in Rutgers having a solid/ deep program.

As of right now there doesn’t seem to be a reason to doubt what Schiano is doing

we ALL wish it would happen overnight but seems those responding to your question (including me) see the direction he’s going and are willing to have a little more patience - it’s what Rutgers fans excel at ;)

Poor NIL is the biggest reason for our disappointing season

Look it's obviously a factor.

I'd be willing to bet our NIL is a tad bit better than Kennesaw State's though. It's certainly better than Seton Hall's and the rest of the scrubs that we struggled to put away in November.

Pike needs to really rethink how he operates. His talent evaluation has generally been dreadful.

OT: Cold and Potentially Snowy Pattern Likely for Most of January

Now you're either trolling or are incapable of understanding basic math, so I'll assume trolling. 4.6" actual vs. a 4.5" average over the period I am posting about is obviously not an "historical low."

How could I post a map I "knew" was wrong many hours before the event started? You think I actually "knew" what was going to happen? That's ridiculous. I post just about every map the NWS comes out with, twice a day, as the most recent map is usually their best. It wasn't this time. Sue them if you don't like it, but stop giving me crap about it.

No, I won't be going to the memorial. I don't typically go to funerals/memorials for people I don't know, plus we're flying to Florida that morning anyway. I will make a donation, though, to the charity mentioned in his name, since it sounds like he was a class act and great Rutgers fan and family man. And again, have the mods delete posts not about Dave in that thread, if you think that's appropriate - I care nothing about the posts I or others made about heart attacks in that thread.
Where are you getting 4.5" for the month of January in Philadelphia.
Also I'm talking about total precipitation not just snow. Yes it's a historic low currently. It's on every news station in Philly. We are still in drought here.
I knew the map was wrong the second I stepped out of the house. It was supposed to be that warm at that time.

Final set of scrimmages this Saturday, hosting Villanova (1 pm) and Hofstra (4 pm)

Actually all the games matter starting next week.

Right - but c’mon RU has done well in its preconference games. A hickup here or there is going to happen from time to time but they should beat the Stoney Books and LIUs. Arguably a BIG team should also beat the Lehighs and Loyolas. They need to perform in the BIG against peer institutions. That is where reaching the tournament is won or lost.

FB Recruiting 2026 Four-Star South Carolina RB Jaylen McGill commits to Rutgers Football

Wow, what a huge win for Rutgers Football! Landing a four-star recruit like Jaylen McGill especially over powerhouse programs like Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson speaks volumes about the momentum Coach Schiano and his staff are building. McGill’s explosive stats and versatility as both a runner and receiver are exactly what this program needs to take the next step in the Big Ten. Pairing him with talents like Carter, Coke, and Collier shows just how much this 2026 class is shaping up to be a game-changer.

Commitments like this is how you build a competitive and sustainable program. It’s not just about talent; its about creating a culture of winning that attracts elite players and pushes everyone to get better. With recruits buying into the vision and the staff making big-time connections, the Scarlet Knights are setting themselves up to make serious noise in the B1G. Lets keep this momentum rolling! Rutgers is on the rise!

OT: Why the real estate market is not in a bubble: Q1 2023 update video added to OP

Looking to buy a new construction townhome in Alexandria, VA (near a metro).

Thoughts on whether the DMV is about to experience a recession (due Trump gutting the federal workforce), or might we see a slight boom in housing prices due to remote work ending?
There will be no recession in real estate, particularly in metro’s like Alexandria right next to DC.

I’m extremely familiar with this area and work in new home construction. Don’t have anything in Alexandria personally but I can help.

Pricing very well may increase some as there’s still not enough inventory and the oldest baby boomer is still just 78, but I don’t expect much movement with rates remaining where they are and not likely to come down in any significant way this year.

Good luck!

Poor NIL is the biggest reason for our disappointing season

This is a failure of epic proportions on the part of Pike and his staff and its not an NIL thing. I was told by a guy leading our fundraising efforts about the Cliff situation. Cliff wanted a mil and Pike told him he could get three good players for a mil. This was a generational opportunity with Ace and Dylan and a good coach would have recognized that. Schiano has no problem keeping his players and one publication had us currently ranked in the top 10 in the transfer portal. I don't have anymore confidence in Pikes evaluation skills or his ability to develop players. We had no proven experience or production returning at the 4&5 positions and he brought in 3 mid-major wing/guards and an undersized 4 that average 3.3 rebounds a game in the Ivy League.
Pike is definitely one of the best defensive coaches in the country, he has managed to keep RU under 70 pts a game for his entire tenure at Rutgers.
BTW This comes from a guy that loves him personally.
