Never thought I would say this but Go Penn State!

Not a fair comparison- the ND football team has zero to do with the Catholic Priests that did what they did. You can’t make that blanket statement for every single Catholic based institution. Do you also feel that way about every Muslim because of 9/11?
PSU, the institution was 100% directly a part of and complicate in what happened there.
Who says I can’t make ‘blanket statements?

That’s also a laughably hypocritical take… The Penn State Football team has zero to do with what occurred 20+ years ago at Penn state by people either dead or currently in jail, so really what’s the difference?

Oh I know what it is! What this really boils down to is you personally are Catholic and take offense to someone calling out the institution you’re a part of. You see it’s ok to cast stones on others but you shouldn’t have stones cast on you isn’t that right Catholic?😉

End of the day, the Catholics are responsible for FAR and AWAY more abuse towards children than Penn state. Particularly with all of the recent news of the Catholic Native American schools of late. This fact is undeniable. Notre damn is the only school between the two that still recieves funds to this day from an institution that legitimately harbors pedophiles (pope Benedict harbored pedophiles)

I don’t support institutions that harbor abusers of children. F*ck both schools

Never thought I would say this but Go Penn State!

Every Rutgers fans should be rooting for Penn State to win — because Rutgers athletics (as member of B1G) gets a split of the prize money.

AND if we get an all B1G national championship — a whopping $52M will be split among conference members 😳

OT: DEVASTATING WILDFIRE ….Santa Monica/Palisades fire being aided by 50-80mph Santa Ana winds. 100mph possible overnight

I find it amusing that the people complaining about the government actually want as small a government as possible. They cut the fire department by $17 million or 2% of the budget, probably across the board cuts to cut the deficit. I don’t know if $17 million would have made a difference.
wanting small government has nothing to do with this. Most people have no problem paying for emergency services. The government is the one getting in the way of the controlled burns as well as water supply and will get in the way when it comes time to rebuild. They had to cut the budget because the government decided to waste an incredible surplus of money the state had because they wasted it on allowing illegals to come into the country and then fed and housed them. They wasted millions on the homeless situation that did NOTHING to solve the problem. They pushed businesses and tax revenue out of the state due to their policies. They shut down so many small businesses and more tax revenue during covid that never came back. California is like Shangri-la and big government came in and ruined it. Theres a reason so many people and business left in the last few years.

JMike needs to be benched like Martini

He's a true freshman who sat out his senior year of HS. He's giving energy and effort and showing some bball IQ. Nice controlled drive and dish to a wide open Derkack for example. 3-3 1-1 from the field 7 points 3 boards... pretty much our best player tonight. Miles better than Martini without many minutes on the entire season to develop

You're being unrealistic if you're bashing Grant and calling him dreadful
Everyone's being unrealistic calling for everyone to be benched. Grant is not some panacea, but a freshman showing promise. He's going to have ups and downs, great possessions and dreadful possessions.

You're being unrealistic if you think a freshman who has just started seeing the court isn't going to look dreadful at times. That's what freshmen tend to do. Bailey makes his share of bone-headed plays, too, and he's going to be a lottery pick.

Grant is not going to carry this team. People calling for him to get 30 minutes, or whatever, are just reacting to the fact that the team is just not good this year and are desperate to grab on to any glimmer of hope.

Only Rutgers

I don’t think you can build a culture program anymore in this era

Yes - he could. We needed to actually recruit a center. Cliff should’ve been prioritized but even after that first fail. We didn’t need a star. Even a position appropriate Austin Williams type would’ve helped a lot. Experience is important at center. Thats first of all. Other than that - D and hussle should’ve been the focus because those are the types of guys Pike does best with and we were surrounding frosh with these kids. Last year wasn’t an exception. The D executed well and what we recruited would’ve probably fit a lot better with Paul at PG and Cam there to make shots. Thats why last year was a disaster.

There is no reason for recruiting D in the portal to be a challenge. It should be cheaper and easier to manage egos with that strategy overall. Things fell apart when Pike stopped the Jaden Jones approach to defensive no show and shifted to appease his GG offensive prize. Not that it mattered at that point because we didn’t have enough offense to win.

We should be able to recruit a few very good established players every year. When you start with nothing, playing time is a big appeal. The surrounding cast needs to be guys who want to be glue guys and defensive stoppers. Not mid major volume scorers looking to prove they can make the step up. What a disaster.

OT: College Football Playoffs Semifinal Games 1/9-1/10 Thurs-Fri

Freeman has proved a lot of doubters wrong including myself. Props to him and ND and so happy PSU lost in the fashion they did. I was not looking forward to seeing all the PSU NATIONAL CHAMPS gear all over the place here next summer, the level of PSU shirts I was seeing was already on the uptick on the weekends. When Nova won the NCAA's that was all you saw the following summer.

Our offense runs better with him on the court. He supplies some semblance of control. If he doesn't play we're 0for in the Big 10. Acuff probably gives up as many points as he scores and JWill I would say is a walking turnover, but in truth, he's a falling down turnover.
He’s god awful! You think the offense runs better because he does nothing on offense so the ball stays w Dylan and Ace. Not providing a threat hurts us. He’s not a D1 player and will be gone soon.
