APC access update w/ new update on the update

I reached out to my ticket person about the doors being locked last night. Her first reply was this:

As for the APC, I forwarded the email to my manager, but the policy has changed this year.

I then asked what she meant by policy changing and got this reply:

Last year the APC was opened to go through but the team did not want fans in the building while the players were going inside from the game.

So what they are saying to the people that pay for season tickets and parking, too bad walk all the way around the building because it may inconvenience some players. Heck, take one of your security guys and post them in that short distance between the doors and keep people moving . Please feel free to get your emails flowing to the AD office.

Hated the Scoreboard Music PA production

Tonight was something I had never experienced. Apparently they went full football mode with volume on 100....all kinds of Ozzy nonsense, all aboard, make some noise. God I thought I was going to hear a train horn. They played Bring Em Out over the fight song. That infuriated me. The incessant dance club, the one horrific one latin type song they played maybe with a minute left was the absolute worst. We were spared the Ay Ah Ay Ah at least

Whoever was in charge should be FIRED. Its not a football game. I understand that there will be a lot of piped in music but tonight was ridiculous and it better not be the norm going forward. Take that shit and gtfoh

Celebrities at the RAC

I’ve been telling my family to prepare for some heavy hitters at the RAC this year.

Our conference games on the weekends will be one of the hottest tickets. The MSG game (if it happens) will also be a hot ticket.

Celebrities, athletes (current and former), rappers etc. will want to see Dylan and Ace up close.

Fat Joe is already hopping on the bandwagon with the Block R hat courtside at the Knicks game tonight.

Who’s your guesses for celebrities at the RAC or MSG game this year?

My 10 are:

- Spike Lee
- Adam Sandler
- Anthony Volpe
- Karl Anthony Towns
- Jalen Hurts
- Carmelo Anthony
- Lil Uzi Vert
- Dave Portnoy
- Gary Vaynerchuck
- Michael Rubin (Fanatics CEO) with a big rapper(s) or athlete(s)

Church of Chop Saturday Sermon - RU v. Maryland 11.16.24

Let us all pray as we prepare for the Church of Chop as our Lord and Savior Greg Schiano and his Knights take on the Terrapins of Maryland. Following a hard fought victory at home, Our Knights travel Southward to the land of Crab cakes and Old Bay to face a regional B1G foe. We continue our quest for a bowl and Crusade for Glory… and we shall have no fear.

Let Dynamite Dymere Miller blaze past their snapping snouts. Let Strong the Summoner streak and speed past their sinning shells. Let Brother Djabome, the Quebec Quasher, and Brother Powell, the Merchant of Pain, topple their repenting reptiles on their Under Armored backs. And let the Loaded Leg of Pistol Patel fire the pigskin through the Holy Uprights.

And let us not forget the one and only commandment… “THOU. SHALT. CHOP!”

OT: Al Ferrara dead at 84

The Brooklyn born outfielder with the Dodgers and the Padres was known for many things:Playing the piano at Carneige Hall at 16,as a bit actor in Gilligan's Island,Batman, and a few other shows. Last but not least, for not disturbing the ground around the bases during his last two at bats at Shea Stadium on the first Earth Day in 1970 by becoming the 1st and 10th consecutive batter struck out to end the game vs Tom Seaver who fanned 19 in all.

Rutgers Football History - The Drop kick

Before the placement hold for field goals, a player could drop the ball to the ground and kick it when it rebounded. The drop kick is still a legal field goal attempt in the pros. Some fans may remember Doug Flutie ended his NFL career with a successful drop kick against he Miami Dolphins on January 1, 2006 - the first in the NFL since 1941.

The longest known drop kick was 62 yards by Wisconsin’s Patrick O’Dea against Northwestern on November 15, 1898.

In Rutgers history, James Alverson holds three of the six longest drop kicks in history including his 45 yarder against NYU on October 29, 1910. The drop kick was outlawed in college football in 1949.
