Sounds like Rutgers reached out to Bryan Penn-Johnson last year during his time at East Los Angeles. Former Washington and LSU transfer that is now playing at Cal-Poly.

Don't know how far talks got (or what issues there were), but he is a California kid who mentions in one of the last episodes "I talked to Rutgers and Drexel last night" during ELA's playoff run last season.

Win or lose, Pike recruits really good young men

I have met a few of the players and they are always great young men. They look you straight in the eyes when shaking your hand ( you would be amazed how many kids have no clue that is what should be done) and they realize Rutgers is a family of players, coaches and fans. When I see video's like this it drives the fact home. BTW Cliff is always great with the kids.

OT: Facing Nolan on Netflix

Pretty cool documentary on Nolan Ryan, one of my favorites as a kid. Always "undervalued".

Said technology then had him over 100, but with modern technology, he would have been clocked at about 107 mph. Back then no one was buzzing over 100, though Goose comes to mind.

I wonder if "any posters" here may have had the pleasure of facing him...

Worth watching for sure. Even my wife enjoyed it.
