RU XC / T&F getting NJ XC MOC

Micah Lawson from Rahway committed to RU this week. Last week he shocked the NJ XC world winning the Meet of Champions at Holmdel. He ran one of the fastest times in Holmdel's courses history.

We are getting a steal with this kid. He didn't have a lot of offers because of a groin injury and Covid but put it all together at the end of this XC season winning all of the sectionals. states and MOC. On top of that he is a great young man and a wonderful family.

#27 Total D (45th SOS per Sagarin

Sorry I jumped the gun last night when we were still the 20th total defense in the nation. Bottom line, there it is, we know what the problem is now Greg needs to go out and fix it. He gets paid plenty of money to do so, and to not keep making excuses, so GET IT DONE.

As I said last night in my thread:: if I am in Greg shoes I give up my entire 2023 salary to fix this issue before next year begins. Half to staff, half to NIL. Unfortunately I know nothing like this will come close to happening but hey, one can dream, right? Lol …

The most wonderful time of the year

The most wonderful time of the year is nearly upon us. The early off season. Starting with coaching carousal this week, we also get early signing day, the portal officially opening and the playoff speculation and bowl assignments. Hell, if the California board of trustees votes down UCLA leaving the PAC, we may even get more expansion talk. Its a good time to be a CFB fan, especially for us during this season of missed opportunities on the field.

Coaching

It's horrible. Any team that has as many penalties as we do has bad coaching. It's always been that way and that rule applies here. Schiano is not a modern day football coach. He's so accepting of wasting downs. Offensive football is about getting as many plays off as you can. 2 entire minutes and Schiano sits on the ball. I can't think of any other coach in the country that wouldn't try to score there being down 7. His reason? He didn't want to go down by more. That's a losers mentality not to mention the terrible message it sends to his team. I don't believe in you. I can't believe he actually did that. Even for him that's just coaching so scared.

MSU isn't even good, but the score makes it look that way. Just an embarrassing performance from the staff. Anyone holding out hope that some hot shot OC is going to come in here and work under this overly restrictive philosophy is fooling themselves. No accomplished OC is coming here with Schiano as HC.

OT: Question for those that follow soccer

I do not follow soccer but of course it is in the news now because of the World Cup. I do know that FIFA is the corrupt governing body going and the whole controversy of Qatar hosting has been news for a while. The last couple days I have been reading how FIFA threatens nations about what their players can wear and might disqualify players if they don't listen to their mandates.

Question is this, why can't the major nations splinter away from FIFA and start anew and pull the power from those that are being paid off and corrupt. Has this been tried in the past?
