Tough league man

Cliff hasn’t shot 50% from the field since the Bucknell game on December 23rd. That’s 7 straight games. Can anyone find someone who’s 6’11 and that athletic and cant shoot 50% on basically all paint shots?

Our offense IMO is at its best when Paul drives to the hoop and has the option to

Shoot
Dish to cliff
Or drive and dish

He is too big and imposing to not do that 2-3x more than he currently does and our offense is so much better when he does this.

He needs to step up and COMMAND the offense. Doesnt mean he needs to score 15-20 a game but he is our quarterback essentially. Im a football player at heart (with bball being a close 2nd love) and I equate this to a good QB running an RPO.

So what happens with kids who entered portal either our kids or others and they did not find a home yet? Do they remain at their respective schools? Do they attend spring practice? seems like an odd situation and it seems like there are dozens if not 100 kids this affects

i assume we are done and will not get anymore transfers now, next would be after spring and they could enroll in June i guess

With classes back in session this week we plan on taking a big group of Rutgers students up to Ramapo College on Sunday to watch Don Bosco at 5pm. I will continue updating this thread throughout the week to let everyone know about our plans for this event!

BU had a solid team last year and is expected to compete for their conference championship.

We put a beat down on them. I believe the score was 19-8 after 4 Qs with a 5th played making it ls 22-8.

Looked like the usual cast of characters scored. Scrimmages are just that but a lopsided score like that is a good sign.

Aaron had on one of the beat writers for Minnesota who gave the scoop on how Minnesota fans felt about Kirk Ciarrocca leaving, how he thought Ciarrocca did in both his stints at Minnesota, what to expect out of Kirk's offense, etc. It's a great episode if you haven't already given it listen.

But he dropped an interesting nugget about Kirk and QB recruiting...

He outlined how good of an eye Kirk seemed to have for the QB position. He mentioned how Kirk identified some more under the radar QBs, starting with Tanner Morgan (who came over as a Western Michigan commit) and some guys Minnesota finished 2nd for in their recruitment (Max Duggan - TCU and Brennan Armstrong - Virginia). The third name he mentioned was former Boise State QB Hank Bachmeier.

Bachmeier entered the portal in September after 4 starts and has two years of eligibility remaining. Not entirely sure why, but sounds like he didn’t wanna be at Boise anymore and wanted to preserve his year of eligibility. Bachmeier has been a very good college QB at Boise State, starting 29 games in career over the course of 4 seasons before announcing his transfer in September.



He's also graded out very well on PFF prior to this season, grading as high as an 83.7 in 2021...



Sounds like Kirk was very close with Bachmeier as a HS recruit and he's been in the portal now for months. I don't know why he hasn't chosen a school yet, but he's just what our offense would need: a seasoned vet who's started a ton of games that our OC liked. We'll see if they go after him or not, just thought it was something to monitor...

Rutgers Defense against Michigan State was fine. (Forced to take shots before the shot clock ran out).

Michigan State made several last second 3-point shots...worth approximately 21-points...12 for 22.
Rutgers was only 2-17 in 3-pointers.
