    It’s really disappointing to see the lack of appreciation for these players and coaches by so many “fans” on this board. All because you’re scared of what other fanbases might say. I’ll write a letter to Hobbs urging him not to listen to people like you and hope those who agree with me will do the same.

    It's not. Rutgers hasn't won 20 games in a regular season since 1982-83. That's a big deal and the players from the 2019-20 Rutgers team deserve permanent recognition inside the RAC.

    I'm not obsessed with it at all. This isn't Rutgers claiming to have won something that we didn't, like UCF in football or FSU in basketball. There is no dispute whatsoever that RU would have made the tournament after the Purdue win. But even with that in mind, we could still just say "20 WINS"...

    Why not a banner saying something like "20 wins, 2019-20." Simple, factual, to the point, and a great way to honor the coaches & players who made this special season happen.

    "Participation trophy?" We won 20 games playing a Big Ten schedule. That's a real accomplishment that any serious observer agrees would have merited an NCAA Tournament bid.

    Anything beyond a first round win would have been a bonus, and what a bonus this would have been. What a shame that we didn't get to see this play out.

    If UCF declared themselves football national champions one year, it is far less controversial for a 20-win Big Ten team to declare they had an NCAA Tournament season. I hope Hobbs has the guts to do this and honor our coach and players the right way.

    Us Rutgers fans tend to overrate our TV ratings power but in this case, it's probably justified. I know several fellow alums who were (at best) casual Rutgers basketball fans that stopped what they were doing to watch almost every RU game down the stretch this season.

    The team was tired and falling apart from a basketball standpoint at that time. I look at those games more of "escaping with a win" more than highlight reel moments.
