Where does Alex Marinelli wind up?
Three loses the B10
Massa also lost to Wick in the consolations.

Lewis should be the #4 or #5 Seed
I can see Marinelli falling below Martseller and possible below Wick.
How about Massa?
Do you place him above Marinelli or below because of his prior losses.

I think you put Marinelli 8th seed and Massa 9th seed...
That would be oh so sweet!

That would make for an insane pre-quarter matchup, followed by a very "losable" qtr for IMar.

1. David McFadden
2. IMAR
3. Cenzo
4 - 6 (I don't know how they will seed) Chad Walsh, Chandler Rogers, Richie Lewis
7 - 8 Marsteller and Massa

Marinelli 9th, Wick 10th.
I hope Lewis can scratch out a 4th or 5th seed. Avoid one of the top 3 until possibly the semis.

McFadden #1 over two NCAA champs really? Rewarded for ez schedule doesn't seem right. Everyone know imar and cenzo would be the fav

I think Imar will be the 1 seed, he was ranked 1st in the last coaches poll. McFadden will be the 2 seed, he has a very high RPI and was 3rd in coaches poll behind Marinelli, so he will move to 2nd in the last coaches poll.

Previous years results do not come into the seeding criteria.

Marinelli losing 3 times has to hurt major. He could get a pre-quarter with a #6,7 or 8 seed.Or he could be 7 or 8 seed (Depending how much he is rewarded for his wins over Lewis and Joseph).
I think his wins over lewis are negated due to finishing 6th in B10 and losing his last meeting.
There will be some great matches at 165.
Heck there were great matches at the B10.
The first throw attempt by IMAR where he was momentary on his back...thought RL HAD STUCK HIM..

That got me so excited when RL got the first take down and almost had IMAR on his back... then when IMAR put RL On his back I felt like a deflated balloon..... RL Then got final take down so it gives me some hope for their next meeting

I know I'm a homer, but after seeing Richie against these guys - seeing Richie go from unable to finish a double against Marinelli to beating him, lose by 1 to Cenzo, and come damn close against Imar... I believe he is seriously in the hunt for a title. His confidence will be sky high. Whoever wins 165 is going to need luck on their side. Maybe he will get it done for us.

So based on what you say, does Suriano stay ahead of NATO and Cruz?

Cruz is ahead of Suriano in the coaches Poll. He will be the one seed. Part of the seeding criteria is conference tournament placing(only 10%) so Suriano should hold on to the 2 seed.

Thanks for the info. I never paid much attention to the ins and outs of the seeding process.

I actually hope Suriano gets the 4 seed (top bracket). He's already beaten Cruz (likely 1 seed) 7-0 last season, nearly pinning him. NATO and Lee , who at 2 & 3 seeds in the lower bracket, could be much tougher semi final opponents, than Cruz.

Agree with you, just think it will be Cruz, Suriano, Nato, Lee

there's no easy match. suriano needs to beat them all!

1) IMAR
2) McFadden
3) Joseph
4) Lewis or Rodgers
5) Rodgers or Lewis (Rodgers lost to Marinell)
6) Walsh (Beat Marsteller in EWL FInals)
7) Marsteller (Lost to very good unattached wrestler in Southern Scuffle, split with Walsh)
8) Marinelli
9) Wick
10) Massa (Too many losses, not sure where his 2 wins over Marinelli count)

4 through 10 is a crapshoot.
Lewis could fall to 7, but Walsh and Marsteller do not seem to have the quality wins Lewis has
Marinelli's 2 losses puts him around 8.
Massa has key losses which would prevent him from being above Wick.

All in all...Marsteller/Joseph did not win their respective tournaments
Marinelli 6th place finish in the B10 - without defaulting)
Marinelli is 1-2 against Massa and 2-1 against Lewis,.
Wick is 2-1 against Massa
Massa lost to Nick W and med forfeit to Andrew Fogarty (ND State)
Nick Wanzek has no signature wins and lost a close decision to Rodgers.

Hard to argue 4-6.
Food for thought:
Does Marinelli's signature win over VJ count more than his 2 losses to All Amercian Massa?

I know I am thinking too much into this. Probably because I want a 4 or 5 seed for Lewis.

I think RL's recent h2h win over Bull weighs more then bulls 2-1 record over him.. RL has tons of quality wins and his only 3 losses are to the top guys. I'm expecting a 4 Seed

NCAA seeding is not as easy as you may think. There is a formula used where points that add up 100 based on different percentages given to about 8 criteria with different percentages to each criteria based on importance. Don’t be surprised if the outcomes are different then you might expect. One year John Boyle from American was 5 seed. He was not even ranked in the coaches poll in the top ten. Did not win league and no real big wins. No one could figure it out. JMO from experience. Also head to head only come into play when seeding is done if a wrestler is a spot below or above who he beat. So don’t expect major jumps based on prior wins.

Well... that's just bs then!!

1) Head-to-head competition — 25 percent
2) Quality wins — 20 percent
3) CR — 15 percent
4) Results against common opponents — 10 percent
5) RPI — 10 percent
6) Qualifying event placement — 10 percent
7) Win % — 10 percent

That’s it!!!! It does not always come out like you think it would based on the weighting of certain criteria.

The weird part in quality wins is multiple wins against a quality opponent only counts as 1 win.

Cruz is undefeated and a conference champ. Hard ot argue with that. Heard Tomasello is the #2.

Richie is the 6 seed.

Cenzo is the 3 seed.

Van Brill the 15 seed.
Gravina the 14 seed.
DeLuca unseeded + pigtail to face Leeth (3 seed)
DelVecchio unseeded.
