Unless our performances or that of our upcoming opponents change significantly from what has happened thus far, we should be +20 or more in 4 of our next 5 games (only possible exception is MSU might be slightly under +20 and @ Indiana will be somewhere in single digits).
OSU, at Wisconsin and at Michigan might be 3 in a row where we are +24 points (!).
By the way, yes Michigan.

We had so many doubters on here that Michigan hiring Jim Harbaugh would make a difference. They look like complete fools now. Michigan is years away from contending for a national title but they jumped into the line that will destroy Rutgers this year. They got much better, Rutgers got much worse

Many are posters who have, let's say, taken their services elsewhere, OR, who kneeled down to that group of posters.

I'm looking forward to one game the rest of this year. At Army. Maybe Rutgers only win for the rest of the season. A nooner at West Point, possible win. Big thumbs up.

I'll be there and am super excited (more for the pomp and circumstance of the weekend than the expected play on the field)!

No matter how Rutgers was playing this year, bad or great, this was going to be a highlight game of the year. Especially with the noon start. Get there early and go to the parade grounds. There are very few GameDay traditions that are better

the Mich St line should be 17ish, i will head to moneygram the day that line comes out

Mich State banged up bad, i'm hoping they don't trounce Purdue to help keep the RU line down. their secondary is perceived weakness. need to throw the ball downfield vs them.

Purdue getting 21.5 in East Lansing

On the "plus" side, we are going to be on the schedule as homecoming game for a lot of B1G teams.
:(

I haven't seen the stats, but underdogs this year seem to be preforming unusually well against spreads.

It's early. Here is the real question. Do you honestly believe Rutgers will win outright against any Big Ten team?

We'll be hard-pressed to score against MSU, OSU, and Michigan.

Wisconsin might have a better defense than all of them. Their coordinator is a straight-up witch. They are giving up 1 point per game at home this year and currently have a 188 minute streak without allowing a touchdown since the 4th Q of the Bammer game.

Who? And have to ask how is the Jersey shore? Sadly made no trips this summer.
Also what about Speith this year? I'll start a new thread on that tomorrow but wow.

Did you see Maryland? Uglyyyyyy. I'm not sold on Indiana. Let's see how they do Saturday. Remember they have OSU and PSU right before RU.

It was a really quiet summer. Didn't see a lot of nonsense like in past years. I think that's because so many people had to spend a fortune fixing their homes that they're not as willing to rent to young groups or maybe attitudes are changing???? Late August and early September were as nice as any 4 week span I can remember. I actually went to the beach 5 days in a row at one point which is unheard of.

$22 million ON THE COURSE! Caddie made $2.2 million!!! He is a machine. See his girlfriend? It's great to be King lol.

BTW, Daughter moved in to apt in Brewerytown and got a raise. It's always sunny in Philly!

Awesome. Nice area and congrats to her. What days do you have off? I'm trying to get my best friend, another Squan local to meet up at Pete and Eldas next week.

Won't know until schedule comes out Sunday. I'm off for MSU so 'I'll probably take shifts during the week if available.

So, this coming weekend;

Purdue is +22 vs Michigan State,
Indiana is +21 with Ohio State,
Iowa is getting 7 pts vs Wisconsin,
Maryland is 2-2 and almost a two touchdown underdog to Michigan I think.

Your predictions sound about right in relation to what we know and what other teams lines are.

If you're trying to make the point that RU is the worst team in college football I'm not buying it though.

They had a bad Saturday but RU doesn't play them for months. No guarantee
Sounds like you are moving the goalposts now. You asked if he honestly believes we will beat a B1G team this year. That's not the same as GUARANTEEING we will win any particular game.

For example, I honestly believe Navy will beat Air Force, Tennessee will beat Arkansas, and Georgia Tech will beat UNC this Saturday. I would not guarantee any of those results.

I honestly believe we will not go 0-8 in the B1G this season. Maybe it's Indiana. They've given up a lot of points and 499 yards per game thus far, even though they are 4-0. They were one play away from losing to Southern Illinois. As someone else posted, Ohio State and Penn State could beat them up before we get our chance. Maryland might be mentally done and it is senior day. Could be a W. Nebraska is another team that looks worse than last season and it is at home. Let's see what happens.

Maryland at home should be an RU win. Indiana on the road COULD be an RU win. Even Nebraska at home is not that far fetched for a win, that one probably a 12-15 point spread.

I did play sports. Two of them for RU. Don't know what you have been watching this year but it looks bleak for Ole RU
I'm a little confused though, why will Maryland get better over the next couple of months but we can't? Haskins is QB there yet and they didn't hire Harbaugh

I think they are both equally bad now. They both can improve. My point is to those that a Rutgers win over Maryland isn't a slam dunk.

HOW IN GOD'S NAME ARE WE GOING TO BE 20+ DOGS TO MICHIGAN AFTER BEATING THEM LAST YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? WHO IS GOING TO HOLD ANYONE RESPONSIBLE?

GOD BEING A RUTGERS FAN IS THE WORST. Trenton should start programs around the Northeast: "Rutgers Anonymous" no mater how bad things get, you still tune in. It is a sickness.

(God I wish the SL or the NY Post would call out Barchi and demand annual State of RU Athletics and demand him to come clean about intentions of the RU. If football is paddling up river with no paddles and a holes in the boat - I want to know, so i can just put a fork in it.)

Yes - if we had a QB who could throw the ball down field, that might be an issue for MSU.

Are you planning on giving the points and taking MSU? Because that is the only reason you would hope that they don't trounce Purdue. So you will rush to bet against RU at the 1st opportunity for this game? If you were planning on betting on RU, you should hope they crush Purdue which would increase their line against RU making it easier for those taking RU to win.
