2021 WNBA Mock Draft and RU prospects

KnightTimeFan, ...this mock draft seems to back up your assessment of Aari vs. Arella. Third overall, ....she must be "all that... and then some". I was happily surprised to see more than one RU player listed. Honestly, I would think that a large number of the 2nd and 3rd rounders will have a tough time making a roster. Heck, some of the first rounders too. There's just so few spots for this ever-expanding pool of players.

It is all just speculation but Mechelle Voepel has a different perspective and puts Arella ahead of Aari.

I also do not understand why the Wings who have the first two picks would choose the Finnish player no. 1 and then Collier as number 2. Voepel has them reversed from the wbasketballblog.
Difference in $ or difference in publicity? I would think getting all of the press for Collier as a number 1 would be better for the team. But what do I know? Maybe picking the Finn 1st would influence her to come over for the prestige but less money than in Europe?

I just hope that Arella (and Tekia) can get someplace where they will appreciate her skills and let her stick and succeed.

Agree totally. That's just like the situation with Betnijah Laney. Her breakout year last season was a surprise to many across the league because her previous coaches really didn't give her roles to show all that she could do. The Atlanta Dream coach recognized her skills in practice and gave her a chance to play a role on the team that showed her complete talents. Those all-around skills were there coming out of RU. Many weren't aware of just how good she was because RU was not getting much of a spotlight at all, at that time.

Arella's best days are ahead of her. I don't see it for Mack, is she a WNBA caliber player?
