What a pairing. Mr. Freeze with a record of calling escorts from his University phone, Mr. Durkin, who had these things happen under his watch according to reports:
- The coaching staff made the team watch disturbing videos during meals. The videos included serial killers, drills entering eyeballs, and bloody scenes with animals eating animals. It was thought to be a motivational tactic.
- Court humiliated players in front of their teammates by throwing food, weights, and even a trash can full of vomit at them.
The replies to that X post are brutal--one said "Killer hire." :
This is NFL coaching news but mentioning it because I guess we’ll see if any of those Chip Kelly as OC for Quinn rumors come true or not.

KK not going to the Raiders afterall and Chip Kelly interviewed twice for the job so we’ll see if that leads to anything.

That takes the Raiders off the table for CK but given this offseason one way or another seems like CK era in UCLA could be coming to a close soon. Seems like a marriage of convenience from both sides in the short term.

Thought the CK trying to leave UCLA news was done for the offseason but guess not yet.
I don’t blame (especially older) football coaches for wanting to bolt for the nfl…college is a mess and now requires you to not only be a great recruiter but also a “used car salesman” in terms of managing the portal…NIL and the mental midgets running the ncaa. If you’re an established offensive mind like CK, it’s a no brainer. You just have to deal with the GM and owners and “do your thing”

Chip's last 3 years at UCLA have been decent ones but not the type Bruin fans are content with.
Add the fact that Kelly's 35-34 in the 6 years he's been there , the natives are getting restless and want either he make UCLA a top program or get kicked to the curb and bring in someone who can
Chip Kelly was hired with the expectations of making UCLA a power like his Oregon program was. He didn't and the UCLA fanbase consider him a failure.
Chip's looking at pro OC positions is just his trying to get out of Dodge before he's tared and feathered by the fans and then road out of town on the rails by the Administration

Yea mentioned that above. It’s sort of a marriage of convenience for the time being. They don’t want to pay to fire him, even though I think he’s been okay recently, and he wants leave but can’t find a landing spot.
Chip is like the proverbial person who does not want to be the last rat on a sinking ship.

This information is sometimes accurate, and as we have seen at Rutgers, it is based on rumors, etc.
That’s another DC from the NFL to college. So you can get movement in both directions.

The CK to the NFL as OC rumors seemed realistic when they first came out. But I had also seen rumors of CK even inquiring about Iowa OC position which I just dismissed as crazy. Now Rittenberg is hinting at the OSU OC position. So who knows maybe there is some truth to even college OC positions. Split from UCLA seems destined, just a matter of when.
