Absolutely!maybe they could be teammates again at RU
Another under the radar kid.
The kid didn't even have a Rivals On3 or 247 profile when he committed according to NJ.com. That is 100% under the radarIt's literally impossible to be under the radar if the kid visited in June, was offered in June and was at the RAC last night.
Let's just say the basketball coverage is very spotty at best or lacks basics. Or we can go back to the round table and obsess about the FCS follows on Twitter for football players who have literally no chance to play at this level and wait another 48 hours or 2 months before we hire an OC.
Exactly, but you just cant tell some people. The fact that he plays with a kid that's a 5 star recruit means that plenty of scouts have seen him.The kid didn't even have a Rivals On3 or 247 profile when he committed according to NJ.com. That is 100% under the radar
"The Rossville native is unranked — as of the moment he committed, he did not have a profile on any of the major recruiting websites like 247Sports, Rivals or On3 — and unheralded"
Looks good to me…that’s the type of speed and driving ability we can useHere's Jamichael Davis this season in a more recent game a few weeks ago, as opposed to last spring in the highlight video.
We’ll take Bailey and the other two.2023 Georgia PG Jamichael Davis commits to Rutgers Hoops

He got injured recently. Played summer AAU no issues it seemed and played early season with HS program but out currently.
Someone mentioned a boot off, so he might have been injured over the summer evaluation period. Possibly why he wasn't ranked, no play to evaluate, like Derek Simpson being under ranked not playing AAU ball.
Yup like Jones and Mathis.Maybe the kid will turn out to be a steal. But generally you’re better off with an above the radar he than an under. Would like to get more of those.
That what jumped out to me.Kid can attack the basket. We need that desperately. Doesn't show much passing on the highlight tape, but looks good overall. Surprised he isn't getting more power 5 offers.
So this is the guy you were hoping for with all the big names we were after and our offensively challenged team? Ok…. I hope I’m wrong and he’s the next great gua
Seems a bit strange and out of nowhereSo this is the guy you were hoping for with all the big names we were after and our offensively challenged team? Ok…. I hope I’m wrong and he’s the next great guard
we'll get himWe need Dylan. Period.
He just started playing with Ace Bailey this season. He transferred to McEachern this year.Exactly, but you just cant tell some people. The fact that he plays with a kid that's a 5 star recruit means that plenty of scouts have seen him.

So you chose to make your triumphant return by trashing a kid that just committed? Then you don’t follow me. First off I haven’t even posted on basketball board in a year.
Fluoride, you are getting way too excited over an opinion. Lol. Thanks for the kind wordsSo you chose to make your triumphant return by trashing a kid that just committed?
F*ck you.
That’s how they found Mag isn’t it?According to Jerry the staff discovered him by accident while scouting the 5 star.
That’s how they found Mag isn’t it?
Obviously you never know how it’ll translate but we can absolutely use more guys who can beat guys off the dribble and attack the rim which seems to be this guy’s gameHis performance in the film clip reminds me of the Illinois star guard from two years ago who created shots off the dribble and also was a very good 3 point shooter.
This kid is supposedly a lights out 3 pt shooter. Drained 3 threes in 16 min Saturday.Again, a lack of coverage or reporting does not make a player under the radar. It means the player or agency have extremely limited resources. There are 360+ programs in CBB.....if there are 1800+ starters in CBB, and most profiles stop at the 150 to 250 kids per for recruiting class, that means the system is very limited in coverage or an ability to determine anything for the majority of starters in CBB, let alone players who play off the bench.
The ratings system is not too relevant in accuracy, once you get beyond the Top 100 to 150. As soon as a kid commits, then it's a scramble to determine a rating, without any idea about the kid.
There was an unrated kid out of the Houston area less than a year ago who earned a Villanova offer (Brendan Hausen) and none of the rating services had any idea who he was.
Within days of earning his offer and committing to Nova, the systems then discovered who he was and asked him who was recruiting him from a Power 5 level......he went from NR (not ranked) or 2* kid to the Top 50 to start his ranking. There can't be such a thing as under the radar, if the system ignores the entire topic for over 80 to 85% of every kid playing CBB. I only linked the Nova kid because I was following the Mark Armstrong recruitment and who Nova and Jay Wright and the staff offered.
As soon as Jay Wright offers, suddenly the Nova fans questioned why the kid received the offer because he wasn't on any radar.....then after the offer, there was a mad dash to rate the player as highly as possible. The linked profile shows he was NR.
I would say there is a lack of coverage that makes the kid under the radar, not the lack of abilities. The entire sport of CBB can't all be under the radar, but reality is, it is 100% lack of coverage.

Let’s hope he grows an inch or two. I like his frame. I think he will find it pretty easy to put on muscle once he gets into the weight program.JaMike was being projected as an impact player on a high-mid major team…the same mid-majors that often destroy majors during the first weekend of March Madness because of good undersized guard play. If he’s 6’4 1/2” he’d be “on everyone’s radar.” My guess is that he will provide a good solid handle, play good D, and become a high volume 3 point threat. I think the acrobatic finishes he can do now will be useful in transition but will largely be taken away by big BIG10 players he’ll be playing against.
Yeah, Tom Izzo wouldn’t recruit this kid no doubt…but bringing in large guards who can’t play offense isn’t a formula for success either. The 49% from three point range he put up last year is intriguing but I do know it was on relatively light volume…(he’s averaged two 3pt attempts per game in his entire high school career at a 36% clip.)Think you are on the money knight owl, Offers from VCU, UAB, and to a lesser degree Wichita St. are not shabby these guys are right on the edge of the tournament every year and They raise hell at the bottom of the brackets against power 5 teams. UAB has beaten Pitt tis year and dropped a ten pt game to Huggins and WVU. These high mid major teams are not shabby, and once scouted he will probably end up a high 3, plus he plays on a strong team and seemingly fits with that level of talent. Als agree that he will lose some of his around the basket finishes although as you suggest will still be solid in the transition game.
