Isaac Dean couldnt hold Soldanos jock in HS now hes a 7 seed for Rider. Crazy
Yeah Track is stuck someone post where Yara is when it comes up,Track is a mess too
Not really. It is about what was expected based on this season. It's maybe a bit short of expectations overall though where fans would like to see guys in contention to place.I just scrolled through - seems RU gave up two upsets, got one upset, one expected win, one expected loss, won one tossup, one tossup to go. Is this really so far short of anyone's expectations?
If Shawver makes it pass Orine.. he gets loser of Brown/Davis…
First three were not inspiring and some looked absolutely awful. Clark got us back on track then Walsh and Yara did well. It's a rolling thread of in the moment, not an end of day 1 summary.I just scrolled through - seems RU gave up two upsets, got one upset, one expected win, one expected loss, won one tossup, one tossup to go. Whoever is coaching up Rider upper weights deserve a raise , Dean being the 7 seed and winning and Zurwarski just beat the 7 seed and both just won MACsIsaac Dean couldnt hold Soldanos jock in HS now hes a 7 seed for Rider. Crazy
That’s expected Yara has a navigable path to AA.. gotta beat luffman again and then prolly face Michigan kid in blood round.. it’s winnable but won’t be ezYara wins 4-2! He'll get Steveson next round unfortunately.
He'll be playing with house money in that oneYara wins 4-2! He'll get Stevenson next round unfortunately.
Things are going to seed rn except, Clark pulled off a small upset.. Olivieri lost pretty badly in a small upset, Shawver lost as a pretty big favHaven’t been able to follow much, but saw some recent updates.
Looks like some guys are on a decent track right now, right?
No one is beating Stevenson unless he gets inj or DQHe'll be playing with house money in that one
Exactly, nothing to lose in that oneNo one is beating Stevenson unless he gets inj or DQ
In a brutal spot now has duke kid then loser of Feldman/KeuterDown goes #11 Jimmy Mullen to #22 Colbert, Army 1-8
I think the Shawver loss is the one that is rough. Returning AA and B10 Champ losing to a 23. Yes there are other upsets in the Tourney but many viewed him and Peterson as our best AA chances. I think if we went 5-2 everyone would be ok. Looked at 41 and 84 as toss ups. Clark was a nice surpriseThings are going to seed rn except, Clark pulled off a small upset.. I think the timing of the two guys going down back to back very early in the round just created a sense of doom. Things leveled out after that.I think the Shawver loss is the one that is rough. They're going to have a good tourney. I think Sammy gets the AA this year. I hope so at least.Whoever is coaching up Rider upper weights deserve a raise , Dean being the 7 seed and winning and Zurwarski just beat the 7 seed and both just won MACs
brutal draws.Next Match Ups:
125: Dean Peterson (1-0) vs. Richard Figueroa (Arizona State)
133: Dylan Shawver (0-1) vs. Kai Orine (NC State)
141: Joseph Olivieri (0-1) vs. Jordan Titus (West Virginia)
149: Andrew Clark (1-0) vs. Shayne Van Ness (Penn State)
174: Jackson Turley (0-1) vs. Dan Braunagel (Illinois)
184: Shane Cartagena-Walsh (1-0) vs. Carter Starocci (Penn State)
285: Yaraslau Slavikouski (1-0) vs. Gable Steveson (Minnesota)
This is going to be a very tough round going up 2 #1 seeds who are both multi-time NCs, another PSU wrestler, a 2x AA in Orine, and last years NC in Figueroa.
Turley has already beaten Braunagel this year, but who knows what Turley shows up tonight.
Olivieri should be favored over Titus so that's should be the highest/best chance for a win.
He has 2x AA Lachlan McNeil next and then more than likely SVN if he wins. They're going to have a good tourney. I think Sammy gets the AA this year. I hope so at least.
Going 1-7 next round would be brutal.. not expecting any crazy upsets but having some of our bigger named guys go 0-2 would be a bummer.. and also going into this year who woulda thought we potentially won’t even have one quarter finalist…Next Match Ups:
