When I go to Rangers hockey games and they play the Canadian National Anthem, I will momentarily think of Rutgers football's newest Canadian.

From what I read recently, we didn't beat out OSU
His final 2 were Rutgers and OSU. He was hoping for the OSU offer to be committable when he camped there last week but it never happened so he committed to RU this week. We beat out the rest but not OSU.He really wanted to go to OSU.
Everything I am reading is that OSU wanted Patrice badly and that they said he was priority for them and that they wanted him to commit on the spot. Not sure where you are getting your information from Blitz8RUCrazy please explain?
That was what was being reported on the roundtable all last week. If OSU passes on him at their camp he was ours and apparently after last week's camp he heard back from the OSU coaches this past Tuesday telling him that they weren't taking him. I don't know which version is true but they do conflict with each other.
Yeah I remember hearing that last week as well, but it seems like that wasn't the case at all. It seems like OSU really wanted Patrice after his performance at their Friday Nights Lights camp.
And here's a great quote on how firm his verbal is:
"My commitment is solid", Rene said. “I'm not someone who just changes his mind. Once I'm committed to a school, I'm committed to that school and that school only". -(And in the case of "R" newest commit, I honestly believe that's the straight skinny.)

Instead of an Ohio State fan coming here after he commits to RU and saying "We didn't offer.", we've got a Rutgers fan doing it. This is such a SPECIAL fan base.
Why all the French. I thought he was originally from Ottawa, Ontario which is English speaking.
Dude why? This is a no doubt great pickup in an area of need whether OSU offered or if they kinda sorta maybe offered.
Haitian, moved to Montreal, and then moved to Ottawa. A lot of Ottawa is bilingual as well.
