Nothing he will get his day in court. The University nor your boss is bound by the court of proof or reasonable doubt. Disrepute and or ignominy is enough.
Not every arrest is the same. Clearly there is some compelling evidence to suspend him, as there was with our bling ring.

Since this summer, Florida has had a kid shoot a gun at his pregnant girlfriend, the quarterback has been busted for PEDs, and another kid was arrested for armed robbery. I'll be waiting for the OTL episode any day now.

This is outrageous!!!! A QB who got suspended for PEDS and now a player gets arrested on a Felony. Where is the institutional control?
The FL QB swears that he inadvertently took a supplement that contained an ingredient on the PED list. FL fans that I know feel he got shafted.
I saw in the herald news a feew weeks back on the little side college football notes that an LSU player was reinstated after a 3-game suspension for armed robbery arrest...

Please clarify why they deserved to be kicked off the team.... Since u were there and saw what happened please tell us what happened.... Did 5 Rutgers football players walk up to a random pedestrian minding his own business and viciously attack him for no reason. Did all 5 football players punch this guy? Did this guy who got his jaw broke provoke either 1 or all 5 of the players? Were there more people involved on broken jaw guys side?
What if broken jaw guy said a racist remark to the players and they beat the crap outa him? Should they still be kicked off team?
We dont know what happened except guy got a broken jaw....you can suffer that on one punch...so if one player threw one punch and broke his jaw but 5 others were there should they all be arrested?

Could definitely be true, but has there ever been an athlete who was busted for PEDs admit that he knowingly took something illegal? The best excuse was Cushing's "overtrained athlete syndrome." At least he was creative.
. Well, Peele was suspended last year for a physical altercation with a girl and he was involved in the altercation this year as well. How many chances do you give people when there are many other talented young men who would love to be on this team & will keep themselves out of trouble? Either we want to be like FSU turning a blind eye to everything or we don't.

I can guarantee you some of them will get their charges dropped for that fight...then what? Ill tell you what they are suspended indefinitely so they cant be reinstated..they probably have a good chance at suing nj.com for being lumped in to armed robbery story

I have no idea what happened but (1) people do just randomly punch people for no reason and (2) being on scholarship does not stop people from committing crimes.
Ask the detectives on the case why they were arrested, it's not the coaches job to determine guilt, he can kick them off for any reason.
Peele was just suspended pending a court case and arrested again, Barnwell had a drunk driving incident and failing school, that's 3rd strike. Playing football is not a right, it's a privilege. I don't give a shit what the ledger says. You call me incompetent and call three home invasions just stealing some guys weed. You are the type of enabler that allows these dumbass kids to keep getting in trouble because they never learn.
You honestly can't be older than 22 or 23 based on your posts, or I just feel sorry for your parents. Flood isn't their daddy, he has a job to do and his own families well being riding on it, he doesn't need this anywhere near the team. If they are found not guilty, let them be reinstated.
And I never believed Carroo was guilty based on his history, I don't judge in absolutes.

I could swear there were quite a few posters, last month, claiming that "big boy programs don't act like this." Since then, lol, how many other P5 schools have suspended kids based solely on arrests? The game is changing my friends, bottom line, this isn't Miami of the 80's or PSU of the late Joe-Pa era anymore. Not saying what is/isn't right, not arguing, just pointing out the obvious trend.

To qualify, I was also skeptical of the alleged victim's account of the incident with respect to Carroo after the WSU game, and am inclined to believe that he didn't do anything besides leave the Hale Center (maybe poor judgement) and remove his girlfriend from the altercation.
But according to several articles (not going to link nj.com here), there was video taken of the fight that the RU players were arrested and ultimately dismissed for, so what actually happened is not really conjecture.
As far as 'innocent until proven guilty' while the courts played it out, Peele had previously been suspended for an assault charge and Barnwell was already academically ineligible with a DUI arrest. One of the players (don't remember which) was charged with involvement in both the armed robberies and the assualt. I'm not interested in giving any of them a third chance to retain the privilege of playing on the RU football team.
