Some things I hope we can work over next stretch:

1) Quick recovery and knocking off the rust for Paul and Caleb. Caleb def needed yesterday;
2) Turnover are one thing but those you can see coming seconds ahead are really headache inducing with Mag and Aundre good for two of those apiece per game;
3) Less of Cliff and others going for blocks on D allowing easy put backs for opponents;
4) No WTF foul-shooting performances;
5) Full game of aggressive offence from Cam;
6) Dean seeing a couple go down. Think he plays much better when paired with Paul

I think on #5 Cam intentionally didn’t shoot much in 2nd half in order to get others more involved.

On #2, it would be nice if the game slowed down for Hyatt. I thought Mag played better - minimal turnover game yesterday.

On #6, Dean is getting close. He ll get his chance as competition increases given the likelihood of increased foul trouble for Cliff and Woolfolk. Good point on Dean playing better with Paul.

our interior defense does not look good against weaker opponents, we are solid putting pressure on the ball and defending away from the basket but once that pass gets in Cliff has been shredded when he shouldnt

I worry about our ball handling. RU wasnt prepared for Temple and ball handling was shaky in the first few minutes of the 2nd half vs CCSU when they decided to put pressure on us.

We have had scoring droughts someone of them long in almost every game this year.

I need to see Hyatt step it up

To me, #1 solves so much of this. You get Paul and Caleb back, and everything gets better...defense, ball handling, decision making, depth, etc etc etc

Here is what I like to see us get better at

1.) rebounding.. it’s been solid , but we can do better. A little bit of our rebounding numbers feel too positive because team have been sending back players to preventing us from getting out on the break (whixh we have been very good at ). Hoping the rebounding is as good when the lights are on and teams are not so willing to rotate back and go for more offensive rebounds …which leads me to

2.) get the outlet out faster so we can break. It’s been very hit or miss. Sone of it that is missing Paul and Caleb …experienced guys no where to go on the court to be reedy to receive the outlet to go ….

3.) cliff to be a little more patient on the block and, at the same time , love to see him throw it out and sometimes the ball doesn’t go opposite and instead get the pass back in the second .time after restabkished position.

4.) love the box set when the ball gets to mag on the opposite block and cliff is on the weak side post
They aren’t going to double mag from the weak side unless he shows he can’t read it for a lob to cliff. If he can prove he can bully it up like Eugene , we will really be on to something….

Agree on Cam.

Our rebounding has been terrible the guard who was maybe 5'8" on CCSU got 3 offensive rebounds; this is where we need Caleb and Paul as they are both good rebounders

1.Far too many missed layups against weak competition.
2.The weak competition also achieved too many offensive rebounds.
3.Mags and Hyatt take less shots and Spencer more shots.
4.Cliff needs to improve shot selection and defensive positioning.
5.Paul and Caleb not playing impacted both the offense and defense.
6.Not playing strong competition gives false sense of success .Next five games will be a reality check.
