BACATOLOGY: 3/11 NCAA Tournament Analysis***Rutgers 95% in***

Still not seeing how Miss St jumps RU for last bye
I just dont get the swap of us and Miss St...they just got crushed by Alabama(1 seed) and we were within striking range losing to Purdue(Also a 1 seed).
I know its full body of work but compare the 2 teams and they are very similar. They have us on SOR and Quad 3 record

We are 10-10 Q1/2 and they are 8-11. We also have the win over #1 Purdue on the road.

Better NET, Kenpom, BPI, Sagarin and, T-Rank

We could end up in Dayton simply because there are too many B1G teams getting in. I know they say they don’t look at it but it has to factor in.

It’s funny going back on this board the past few weeks. Posters claiming we aren’t the same team without Mag. losing Mag is the reason we’re struggling. Now a bracketologist basically says this….and everyone is up in arms. Lol.
No one said we are the same without Mag. That’s why we were looking at 6/7 before but now 10/11.

They dont have sloppy resume in q3

They also have 2 non conference wins and one over Marquette looking better today

Adding a Q1 road win and removing a Q1 loss could definitely be enough to move you up 1 spot in overall rankings from best seed in Dayton to last bye, especially when the margins are razor thin

I disagree. We’re likely in Dayton caused of our quad 3 record and nothing else

Needing him and like to have him are two different things. If we had him, maybe we are a deep run team. Without maybe not, but doesn’t mean we don’t belong.

VCU in. They were the only team to make it in 2021 that couldn't play due to COVID. And they missed last year. So that's cool for them.

Taking our situation out of the conversation for a second, one interesting notion in all this is whether good wins or bad losses should be more of a factor. Imagine two teams, on with good wins and bad losses, and another with neither. Both teams have similar records and similar metrics.

Which team do you pick? I'd go for the team with the good wins and bad losses because the record would show that they are more likely to actually do something in the tourney. Bad teams/losses? Forget about them. No bad teams are in the tourney. Go with a team that might be interesting.

Meh. MIss St has only 1 quality road win all year (Marquette). We have more. They’ve also been blown out by Tenn and Alabama. We battled every ranked team we played all year.
They had the same schedule and won 2 more games. 10-6 teams make the playoffs in the NFL over 8-8 ones every time.

it is kind ok looking like Albany, with a collision course with Uconn in RO32.
I am now getting mixed reports on policy with rematches of non-conference foes. I thought the first 2 rounds were avoided, at least the first - but some are saying RU/UM is still possible..
League matchups are usually avoided in the first 2 rounds.
SEC schools are not so tough away from home (e.g.Alabama lost easy to ND in San Diego last year - I was there)
any of those 6s in Albany, and its a quasi home game for RU
Curious as to why you think Albany? Not sure anyone has a real clue so how are you picking the site out?

@bac2therac Where are we going? I can't stay awake and listen to Bill Walton.
The absolute worst announcer ever. Forgets there’s a friggin game going on. U of A is our second school we have always rooted for as my cousins went there in the 80 when Kerr and co played there. (Met him on spring break when I visited.). I watch the games now with the sound off.

The mute button or magic mushrooms are the only ways to get through it.
