If they lose tomorrow, it's over. Rutgers simply doesn't deserve it at that point. No one other than RU fans (unless they make Big Ten semis) voting them in.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend, i.e., if our competitors for the last few seeds and even Dayton, several of whom we are ahead of right now, lose along with us losing, we're likely still ahead of them, especially if their losses are worse than a loss to NW at home.

You obviously enjoy hoping your predictions are right more than rooting for RU. We’ve been a Jekyl and Hyde team the last few years, more so this year mostly because of struggles on offense. Not totally surprising.
We could still make it loosing tomorrow, but RU has a track record under Pike of getting must wins and true fans are rooting for another one.

The guy's blew it up huge against Minnesota with 60 seconds left. It made college basketball headline news. No, we are not getting voted in after that with our near bottom Big 10 finish if we lose tomorrow. Absolutely not (barring run to Big 10 Tournament semis).
If we lose tomorrow, the guys should reflect on what happened in Minnesota until November. Worst minute of basketball maybe in history of the sport.
Deserving isn’t a metric used by the committee, but they are humans and the OSU debacle made news too so by your logic they could take that into account like they take deserving into account.
I agree about OSU, it's total BS, I was livid about it and still am, but unfortunately the conference didn't care. Told us to go shove it, nicely.

The Seton Hall loss actually happened because the players knew they would be going to Madison Square Garden in February.
Neither is blowing a lead that makes "national news", or conference standing. But not sure if he really cares about those facts.
The selection committee is obviously very focused on the particulars of Big Ten tiebreakers.

I am no "bracketologist" nor do I pretend to be one. Most of you guys could probably seed the Tournament better than me. However, I feel very strongly that without a win tomorrow, the last minute of Minnesota game will be in committee's head when they are looking at last at large seeds. I just don't believe, regardless of the very close metrics among those teams on the cut line, they will give it to RU if they can't find a way to win tomorrow after abysmal Minnesota loss. I just have a gut feeling. Kinda like a Trump gut feeling. Especially after they gave us the nod last year when it was close

For one thing, you might be right about the overall outcome but the committee doesn't care about blowing a lead lol. Shit happens, that's literally the last think anyone is considering. A loss is a loss. It's a bad loss, but being up 10 with a minute left isn't relevant to anything but our emotional health.

Don't think people are going to be lining up to make esoteric wagers with anonymous message board posters who are widely regarded as trolls. Especially considering that the wager is no action the majority of the time and would require not one but two Rutgers losses to even be relevant.
