Yea their composite is really strange bc they have him 117 overallRivals - 3 Star
247 - 3 Star
On3 - 4 star
247 Composite has him as a 4 star but honestly not sure what goes into that since only one service has him as a 4 star.
Even weirder is I’m pretty sure On3 isn’t even factored into the composite, ESPN is and ESPN has him unrankedRivals - 3 Star

There's still one more update to go, but right now he's No. 140 overall for Rivals with the last four-star being ranked No. 120 currently. In the previous cycle, that four-star status extended to No. 137 so I think he gets it when it's all said and done.Fairly certain that @Richard Schnyderite has suggested his level of play is deserving of a four star or something along those lines. Richie thinks very highly of him.
Just as in football, there are other services they include in their composite rating. Of course we would love to know which ones but they are not about to advertise for their competition.Yea their composite is really strange bc they have him 117 overall
On3 104
247 150
Rivals 140
131 would be the average of the 3. 117 would seem to weight on3 over everyone else. Or they are factoring in another service that has Ndongo rated higher as well

Yeah I saw that when they first started up for football. The downside is they are not picking up everyone that does rankings probably because they don't have the same clout that 247 does to get agreements done.On3 discloses who is in their composite and how it's calculated
Super excited to see this kid at Rutgers. Not sure why he's not a top 100 player, the late transfer to PSA seems weird but it's PSA, it's not that unusual.Yea he will likely be a 4 star on all services by the time rankings are final. He looks like a top 100 player
It shouldn't matter except people like to rate classes and make end all be all judgments on them before they even play a game which is illogical.Maybe I'm missing the point, but I care more about how much he'll help the team. Does it bother anyone today that Geo was a 3 star?
Having success in the EYBL, while not a guarantee, seems like the most predictiveHigher star ratings don't guarantee a player will be better but it increases the odds
There's a reason players like Gavin Ace and Dylan are rated so highly. It's pretty unlikely any of them are busts
Richie do you think he will be able to contribute next year as a freshmanThere's still one more update to go, but right now he's No. 140 overall for Rivals with the last four-star being ranked No. 120 currently. He's been very impressive since his move to PSA. He's still considered a project in my eyes as he's a bit raw, but overall his ceiling is extremely high.
It matters because every study out there suggests the higher rated classes are better on average. It shouldn't matter except people like to rate classes and make end all be all judgments on them before they even play a game which is illogical.
Adding onto this, I saw a game of him against Papa Kantes team on Youtube and even though he didn’t necessarily dominate, he was impressive. I think I saw him guard every position, including Papa. At one point he had the ball at the top of the arc, hit papa with a cross, spin move and fadeaway and hit it. Another they ran a play similar to what we’d run for Cam and hit a baseline jumper. Could definitely be a freshman that surprises many.Baye recently played for PSA in Prep Championship series which they won. Made first team all tournie. NBA scout said he will be in the league and that Rutgers fans are going to love him. He a relative neophyte to basketball. He can guard all 5 positions, protect the rim, take the ball baseline to baseline and score outside and inside. Kid is a mid to high 4 And was an unknown when Rutgers saw him. Have not seen him live but I look forward to seeing him in person. He was a STEAL. He needs more weight and muscle like many freshmen but has the drive to reach for the goal.
I agree.. Could definitely be a freshman that surprises many.

These are the types of things that jump out on his highlights. He may be newer to bball but he's clearly a complete natural compared to someone like Cliff who looks like he started playing bball later in life and doesn't look naturalAdding onto this, I saw a game of him against Papa Kantes team on Youtube and even though he didn’t necessarily dominate, he was impressive. Agreed, he also looks like an absolute dog out there. High activity, high physicality, no fear competitor. These are the types of things that jump out on his highlights. Ndongo looks pretty smooth. He can dribble and shoot the 3 with nice form. Score inside and out. I think he may be more college ready and less of a project than some think with am NBA ceiling
My thoughts exactly. He looks incredibly skilled for someone who is relatively new to basketball. These are the types of things that jump out on his highlights. Davis was hurt the last two AAU cycles I read not just the last one. It's probably why he was more under the radar. He is putting up numbers on an elite HS team though. I really like his gameChecked out on YouTube and thought to myself highschool players have really improved if this kid is a 3 star. 6'9 handling the ball like a guard, hitting jumpers from mid range and 3 and is a high flyer. Could have used him on this year's team. Jamichael Davis also looks better than his ranking and can't wait to see a shooter like Griffith at Rutgers. This is probably the best looking class I've seen pikell bring in tbh.
You are correct of course, but it would look nice if recruiting articles and popular publications have us ranked high for the recruiting yearMaybe I'm missing the point, but I care more about how much he'll help the team. Does it bother anyone today that Geo was a 3 star?
Totally agree. He needs to play and he’s the only true 4 on the roster from a size and defensive standpoint. If he can hit the three above 33% then he’ll play a lot I believe.I honestly think he starts at the 4 next year. Or if not the first off the bench.
He needs to play? From a highlight reel? People, please let Pike do his thing. We are about to soar. Enjoy the ride but let the coach coach. Kid looks very very promising but let him step on campus before we clamor for a certain amount of minutes.Totally agree. Expectations are getting too high. Never count on freshman bigs to contribute much; if they do, it’s a great surprise, but they just generally need time to develop (especially if they don’t have much experience).Totally agree. There’s always a chance, but better not to bank on production until sophomore year.

Have you seen his film? He doesn’t play like a typical big man. He plays like an athletic wing that happens to be 6’8 or 6’9.Expectations are getting too high.
