It's better to let it run and be self contained.
That's part of why I used to like when there was one COVID thread on the football board. Could imagine that and maybe a thread on climate and a thread on politics to cover 90% of the most argued about topics that spill over into so many other threads - because the vast majority of posters know the CE board is a wasteland, but sometimes do like to discuss more controversial topics here - those threads could even be moderated to keep out the trash. Let those threads go and maybe a ton of other threads don't get polluted. Maybe worth a try, because the current system clearly isn't working as designed.

Your claim is incorrect. A lie is an intentional falsehood. If you want to get nit picky.... my statement was just incorrectly worded. While you may have never claimed to be pious, elements in your posting history would suggest piety.

If you are indeed pious, my original post to you in this thread (omitting the phrase...."being that you claim to be so pious and all") still stands and your deflection on this matter would be curious, as one would suspect that a pious person who made the claim that there is such "Anger and Hatred in this thread" would want to do something about it to help and perhaps mentor in that regard.

If you are not pious, then as I suggested in my ensuing post.......my bad.

Ton of genetic conditions that lead to health failure, disease, or fatal arrythmias in young people. I'm working on 3 of them right now.
Well, you can compare pre covid rates of incidence to post covid (but pre vaccine). After that everything gets muddled. Who had covid/who didn't/who was vaccinated/who wasnt/who contracted covid again/who had double/triple vax?

You’re literally lying and making things up, because you’re a drooling moron. Don’t make me post the screenshots of your weird racist late night DMs again. I notice you refuse to answer the question cuck - when are your lawyers serving me? Or we’re just lying about that too? So soft it’s really pathetic.

Yeah, no. Weak response "bruh". Guess you're just not proud enough of what you believe and stand for to state it Peter.

Ps....you also seem very "judgey"......what was it that Matt said about judging?

Saying all whites are trash is racist. Saying you’re white and trash is accurate. Try not to be triggered snowflakes!
Speaking of racism, has everyone forgot or just ignores the deaths of Africans inflicted by the vax regime (Fauci, Gates, etc) over the decades using blacks for human experiments? I’m pissed, the black community should pissed, we should all be holding those criminals liable.

Anyone remember HIV / AIDS and the “vaccine”? How many unnecessary lives lost for greed?

Assuming RU #s will chime in on the above. Fully expecting a response of “all good”, “trust the regime”, “everything peer reviewed”, “ I worked at Merck and have 3 degrees”, “trust the experts they have your best interests in mind it’s not about the money”, etc

Can you provide some insight into the success of Vioxx?

So yesterday my wife tells me the latest releases( from Moderna) says your immunity is higher if you get the vaccine each time in the same arm. We are one F’d up world. Maybe Numbers can explain this study and why it took 3 years to come up with something which sounds illogical. I always get vaccinations in my left arm … draw blood from right arm…

I’ll let the black community know that you and other message board white trash think they should be outraged at the millions of lives Gates has saved in Africa with funding the development of next generation bed netting, working on a malaria vaccine…the world where morons like you and ProudBoy (the only subhuman to like your post) are heroes and Bill Gates is the boogeyman is laughable.

Not even sure what you're talking about. Are you talking about the horrible abusive experiments conducted on black people in the US, like the painful gynecological surgeries done on slave women by Dr. Sims or the syphilis experiments on men at Tuskegee from the 1930s through the 1970s?

https://sph.umich.edu/findings/spri...egee-and-its-impact-on-vaccine-hesitancy.html

Or are you talking about the series of made up stories about Gates and his role in various vaccine and medical endeavors to improve and save lives in Africa? As usual, you're wrong, as per the link below and I guarantee you won't be able to find one credible source that backs up the crap you're peddling.

https://www.reuters.com/article/fac...t-bill-gates-includes-falsities-idUSL1N2LO230

But if you'd like to actually learn something, The Gates Foundation, as part of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), has helped to save millions of lives in poor countries around the world, mostly in Africa and Asia, through bringing inexpensive lifesaving vaccines against a host of infectious diseases to these countries. Yes, mostly the same vaccines that are a major part of how life expectancies in the first world went from about 55 to nearly 80 from 1900 to 2000 (along with clean drinking water and antibiotics). I was never a fan of Gates as a Microsoft CEO, but damn if he hasn't done some amazing things in the world of public health since retiring.

Seriously. you keep going back and forth on studies and all the intricate details but cannot respond to the simple question below. what are your thoughts?

Do you think that forcing players to mask and sit 6 feet apart on the bench when not playing but letting them take the mask off to play had any effect on stopping the spread of covid?

From a probabilistic risk of infection perspective, yes, it would reduce the risk. The risk of infection is a function of close contact time with an infected person and sitting next to someone, unmasked, for a few to many minutes will result in far more inhaled virus particles from the infected person than being face-to-face with an opponent for a few seconds. How much that risk would be reduced depends on a myriad of factors, but yes, the risk of transmission would be reduced anywhere from a little to a lot. It's why doctors and nurses have worn masks in hospitals for decades, generally since the 1918 flu pandemic. Thought the answer to this would've been obvious.

In other ER news: Under the age of 20 male, positive for ST elevation MI (more extensive heart attack), did not have covid but positive for enterovirus/rhinovirus, did not have the vaccine. Cardiac cath showed clear coronaries. Diagnosis? Myocarditis. For those who think myocarditis cannot affect young people, you are sorely mistaken.

What you are saying in this post is Ron harper and Geo Baker on the court can slap hands, hug, chest pump, scream in each others faces, sweat all over each other, share a basketball, etc. football players on offensive line and defensive line can breath into each others faces 3" apart for 60 minutes but once on the bench need to wear a mask and sit 6 feet apart so they don't infect each other?

This is similar to CNN posting an article saying wear a mask while having sex to reduce the spread of covid... Just utterly ridiculous.

How many times have you seen a doctor or nurse wear a mask inside a patients room then 30 seconds later have sustained close and physical contact with that patient?

if you can sit here and pretend that any of this is true or good policy than you can say say anything.

This is the exact reason why the covid lunatics and the post above is so dangerous.

People say "Boom. in your face" Then go play basketball and think it is safe as long as you wear a mask on the bench(or before or after the game) because some guy on the rutgers fan boards sounds smart. Then contract covid and die. The family then tries to figure out what happen and say "he always wore a mask" or "he was vaccinated" and wonder what went wrong. Maybe try to blame it on the unvaccinated guy trying to earn a living for his family. They will probably say something like how could this happen, he was healthy he only had high blood pressure and was a prediabetic, he was just playing pick up basketball four days ago..

Lying about how you contract covid and the risk is a very dangerous game.

The minute you say basketball is ok any thoughts on trying to prevent or control the spread of covid go out the window. The second players slap hands and then touch their face it is gone, the second the team rushes the floor after ron hits the game winner against Purdue the cat is out of the bag, the second cliff is guarding Kofi Cockburn in the post leaning on his back so sweat is shared from both players and then Cliff uses his shirt that was just soaking up kofi's sweat to wipe his own face any thought of containing covid is gone.... If you cant see this than i feel bad for you....

I just want to be very clear. If you are an at risk person, you should not play basketball, slapping 5, boxing out, playing defense in the post, etc... It is not safe.

"Close contact" has typically been defined as being within a few feet of an infected person for 15+ minutes. That could easily occur on the bench during a 2-3 hour athletic event, but is much less likely to occur during the playing of the sport, where people are maybe 1-3 feet away from each other (3" is just silly) for a cumulative several minutes of time - it's far from the whole game. From a relative perspective, the exposure is significantly greater on the bench, which is why the masks were recommended to reduce that exposure, but that doesn't mean it's zero in the game either.

Hard to say if the line was drawn perfectly, but it's at least directionally correct - and keep in mind that we had zero direct knowledge of exactly what levels of exposure, with regard to viral load transferred (which was also a large variable, as infected people showed widely varying viral loads from each other), would likely result in a person (masked - with various masks - or unmasked) becoming infected, since it's unethical to conduct exposure studies with a deadly virus, which means that scientists and public health officials had to construct guidances that at times probably seemed a bit arbitrary (but were very likely directionally correct). Not an easy task, given the options ranging from 100% lockdown to no mitigations/controls at all (with various masking/distancing options in-between, prior to having vaccines).

We can agree on some of this. I have not been in favor of masking requirements in most locations nor vaccine mandates beyond about summer of 2022, when anyone over 6 months of age who wanted to be fully vaccinated could be (apart from medical facilities and in locations with high numbers of vulnerable people, like elder care locations).

From summer of 2021 through summer of 2022, when the vaccines were not available for children under 12, I was much more on the fence, since children, while not impacted nearly as seriously as older people, were a major transmission vector and the case was made to keep masking in most locations, including schools. Personally, I stopped worrying about masks or anything else related to COVID on March 30th 2021, when I was officially fully vaccinated (and went to the NCAAs in Indy), but I always wore masks in any public place where masks were required, without complaint, as it simply wasn't an imposition.

Fast forward to now, several months after the pandemic emergency was determined by the CDC to be over in May, and I am opposed to RU's position on requiring vaccines for students and staff or any masking requirements. 99% of the country has at least some level of immunity from either vaccination or infection (or both) and absolutely everybody who might want a vaccine/booster has had the chance to get them, so I don't see much point in continuing such requirements, since SARS-CoV-2 is now essentially equivalent to a flu (given the population level immunity) and we don't have such requirements for flu vaccines or masks.

Also, while there are new variants and cases have roughly doubled, they've doubled from a very low number and are 10-50X lower than previous peaks, plus deaths are at an all-time low and there is no indication that immunity has been lost, so I just don't see any major new threat. The only thing that keeps me up at night a little bit is the extraordinarily low (but non-zero) risk of a new variant that is just as transmissible as the current ones, but has also evolved complete immune system escape, putting us back to March 2020, but even worse (as the current variants are 3-5X more transmissible than the original strain). Most virologists simply don't think that there can be a SARS-CoV-2 variant that is so different from current variants that the existing immunity would be lost.

Not surprising that you left an extremely important part out in order to essentially make your deceitful point.

First, you strip mined a passage from the Bible to suggest that Christians aren’t meant to judge. That is false.

Yet it has become the atheists’ favorite out of context memory verse — “Judge not.”

Hahaha

Which “extremely important part” did I leave off from John 7 that changes the meaning of John 7:24?

You’re reeling.

I agree with Luke 12:2, as well. I love when atheists quote the Bible.

Thanks for spreading the Word of God.
