Most don't because it was an anomaly. Newton being anything other than a prick would also be an anomaly. Maybe someday he will get there. Highly doubtful though.
Everyone will remember the SB Cam because that is who he is. A jerk.
He will lose advertising money but to say he is a crybaby is laughable. He was no worse than Belichick and his nonsense during a win or lose...oh but wait he is white
People are free to do whatever they want during the national anthem.. And the rest of us are free to shame those not being silent or removing their hats, and refer to them as the disrespectful dickheads that they are. To me, it's the same as being disruptive during a funeral or moment of silence.

I think the reason there's people talking about it is because it was the Super Bowl...and he's the league MVP. There's people killing Peyton for mentioning Budweiser in his postgame..he's white.

Belichick has skipped out of playoff and Super Bowl pressors. He is famous for it. But never see a thread on here or the press go after him like what's has happened here today. Brett Favre is another. Media loves his quotes in a win and ignores his antics in a loss. Its a race issue, period
I disagree. Remember when Belichick walked off the field with seconds left in Super Bowl 42 vs the Giants? He got crushed for that. Media crushed Nick Saban during a presser this year when he acted like a d-bag.
I get some people don't like Cam SOLEY because he's black. There's still people who dont..but he's rightfully being criticized for acting like a crybaby in my opinion. Wouldn't have a problem if he didn't showboat everytime he wins.
We have white guys including Peyton making money from winning with no negative spin. Aaron Rodgers is making millions from his dumb discount double check and people thinks it's cute but when a black guy does the same he is labeled as a phoney.

But when u do that on the field, claiming the game is supposed to be fun..then do this as MVP after the game cause you lost...not a good look.

See Rick Pitino, Jim Boeheim, Bill Belichick.. (all white). Add in the fact this was the Super Bowl, the league MVP, and a player already polarized due to his antics on the field...that's what makes this a huge story.

I'm not calling anyone out, just supplying some perspective on the right thing to do. Alot of men and women have paid the ultimate price over the last 200 plus years so that the rest of us can enjoy our freedoms, including watching the Super Bowl. You also have to respect their families as well. As a parent, my children's lives are worth orders of magnitude more than mine. Sadly there are too many parents whose sons or daughters came back home in a coffin covered by the very flag that some people don't uncover for at a sporting event. Please show some respect for the fallen who are no longer with us, and their families that still are. I truly hope that such a display of respect, especially on the world's stage, may help ease their pain just a little bit.

Not just that one play. He showed the same type of "character" in the postgame presser.
I've seen 50 losing quarterbacks interviewed after losing the Super Bowl. Cam is definitely #1.
