Carroo's lawyer says Leonte didn't touch victim (Video Link Included)

"MGSA99, post: 663554, member: 714"]There is video of the incident? Knowing Rutgers, this will be leaked shortly.

there will be no leak of video even of 100 people shot it as it will show LC is innocent and that just would not fit into the sum liar game plan and propaganda machine

He's not coming back. Even if by some chance he didn't do anything, the PR would be brutal.

If there is Video clearing him, then NO ONE would have any issues with him coming back.

If the video doesn't show that then forget it.

If there is video evidence showing that he didn't touch her, you're wrong. Ray Rice was convicted by the public for his video, Leonte can definitely be vindicated with his.

You guys believing a defense attorney??? Don't you know all their clients are innocent!
I'm not an attorney but what lawyer would state there was a video if it didn't exist? I could see a guy Bs'ing about a witness or potential testimony but a video? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Well the video could be fuzzy. Not clearly showing what happens, but a defense attorney will still say it does.

yes the lawyer wants to lie to a judge--the real question is not if there is a video but how it is interpreted

My guess is the video will be grainy, not show much other than LC being in a location and position that would make him unlikely to be the assailant. I can't believe that if it clearly proves his innocence, that it wouldn't have been released already.

If he's innocent, he absolutely should be let back on. Ruin a young man of character's life because some bimbo claimed he threw her to the ground because she was jealous of his real girlfriend? Cmon.

Unless flood decides to suspend him for leaving the locker room and getting involved in the first place?

Really? I see the opposite being true. Throw an innocent man off the team because he went outside to pull his girlfriend out of a fight? If that is the correct story, Rutgers would look idiotic if they threw him off the team.

Or maybe it will clear him.

The video is the main thing here, not just the friend saying he did it instead of LC. If the video shows what the defense attorney says it shows, LC's charges should be dropped and he should be reinstated to the team - hopefully not too far down the road.
Hermann needs to be all over this right now. Get hold of the video, review it-if it's clear as day Carroo is innocent, get him suited-up for this Saturday.

Ah. The Fall Guy.

Nice.
Weren't you one of the posters who intimated that something different happened than is alleged to be shown in these alleged videos, and it was bad for Carroo? Maybe your sources could be off? I have been on enough accident and fire scenes where eyewitness accounts, while earnest, are way off base because the eyewitness was either biased, stretching the facts, not in the proper position/perspective to see what happened, or just plain full of it.

Videos don't lie, unless they have been edited.

I bet this thread drops to the bottom being that it doesn't help the Fire Flood Quest people are on.
Fire Flood has nothing to do with Carroo. It has everything to do with the team performance. Do you want to tell everyone how you feel the team is playing great?

Love that movie, but I fail so see the connection. Carroo is going to surf in a Tsunami when the case is over?
RU5941 or whatever said he's not coming back. In my mind, I heard it as Johnny Utah. Couldn't find just that clip. I love that movie too.

I also said let's wait and see if the video clears him. I don't understand why a defense lawyer would say there's video if it doesn't exonerate him. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Umm, so Julie is now supposed to have the power to obtain key evidence in a criminal proceeding?
Why did you pick her as the person bearing responsibility here?

See what CT said right above.

If there is clear video LC wasn't involved in any way other than to grab his girlfriend and he never touched the victim, why aren't charges dismissed already?

Because criminal cases are tried in court, not in the press by the prosecutor and the defense attorney. The prosecutor could choose to dismiss the charges.

Let start a pool;
I will give $1000.00 to anyone who can produce a video of the event that shows Carroo activities.

It is more about the off field problems that has Flood on the hotseat. If we were just 1-2 without all the other problems, do you think he would be under so much heat?

I'm not picking on you, but you are one of the most difficult posters to follow on this board. What is a CT? You could quote "CT" and put that in your reply. Your other post in here says "This." This what? There are ways to quote and reply to posts to make the discussion easy to follow. Trying to follow your posts is nearly impossible.

Two weeks ago I posted a thread that caroo's friend was going to take the rap , according to my sources . The thread was treated as a joke by people like Nuts and white bus.

Yes, I know. My post was more rhetorical to suggest that this probably isn't as clear cut as most people here think.

She's the A.D. and this is a hugely high-profile case and PR situation for the RU football program. She needs to push whatever buttons she can and work with whomever she needs to--NOW. Who do you think should lead the charge here?

Got it. If only Bodhi was a WR, it would be a perfect fit.

The team is playing just below what I expected, new QB, new OL, no secondary 1 win 2 losses, likely to be 2 and 2 and then we get creamed by the big guys with maybe 4 or 5 wins this year. I was hoping for 6 wins.

Absolutely. The def atty would sit down with the prosecutor and say loo at this, there's no basis for the charges and lets get them dismissed.

Hope its true but unusual if clear exculpatory evidence out there as DA has duty not to charge or dismiss. If this comes out as unclear then it could make it worse--hopefully its clear and lc was the good guy in all of this.

If it's just performance then why did the fire Flood movement begin before the season began.

We were 8-5 last year. Flood's career record is very respectable.

I don't think anyone in the RU athletic department (or anywhere at RU) can "lead the charge" here. It's a criminal proceeding. Everyone's lawyered up. Julie pushing buttons is probably not wise at this point in time. Sometimes it sucks, but you have to let the process naturally play out, even in a "hugely high-profile case."

I think the video needs to be pretty darn clear for Carroo to start vs Kansas. I think RU would be wise to be very prudent in terms of reinstating him at this poin.

Right and we all know that Prosecutors never lie or withhold evidence to get a conviction. How many people have been exonerated after serving 20-30 years behind bars due to new scientific evidence.

CT This!

my prediction is that this will all wrap up the Friday before our last game.
Allowing for a RS season for Carroo. So as Hamilton Carroo and Flood all come back for another year?

Is any story line too crazy for Rutgers athletics?

He's waiting on Pernetti to consult the lawyers and write-up a full report for his review. Then Barchi will establish a 52-person committee to decide on a course of action.
Ha, given the length of process in the email investigation, you are right, this could be awhiles.

Though again, we can stand to be a little cautious here.
