Vs. isn’t fair because they are different players - but after watching Cliff mature this season I don’t see how Pike could have kept him on the bench in a reserve role. He is so explosive and his ability to close out on defense is a difference maker. Seeing him spring from the key to get in the face of a shooter at the arc was mind boggling.
As he has learned to play under control and not give up early fouls he is flashing his potential to be an elite big. He’s so fun to watch.
