Cliff Offensive Regression

There has not been the same explosion and speed that got the inspector gadget comments last year.

Injury, bulking up, something else, I have no idea. But my eyes don't lie.

I’ll bite. I was expecting Cliff to improve offensively and he hasn’t.

His recognition of where the double team is coming from and his decisions need improvement

He needs to improve his foot work. He needs to improve the drop step move.

I also expected him to develop a perimeter game and he hasn’t.

Having said all of that he is our MVP by a mile.

Cliff has flashed some good moves occasionally but has too many really poor looking attempts which is where the criticism comes from

We need to do a better job of getting him the ball in better position to score
Part of that is that he hasn’t been able to establish position close enough to the basket to be effective. He really needs to work on his technique (using his lower body, etc) to establish position. Too often I’ve seen him fail to effectively do that so he is left in “no man’s land” upon receiving the entry pass. Unlike TJD and some other big men, he can’t put it on the deck and go by people. He also has questionable hands and fumbles a lot of passes. He has a lot he needs to work on offensively.

How is he more consistent on D? Any decent center lights him up.
Last year every center lit him up.
He's a better rebounder and rim protector as well.
Look, I'm not saying he's world class, but I know progress when I see it. Baby steps are still progress. To suggest he's regressing is ridiculous
