Watching Bama game and he does not post up his player at all. Only time he touches ball is on rebounds and when player draws his defender in and leads to a dunk.

I always felt this was the way we should have used him as his post up game was beyond terrible

He’s not even a good screen setter. He led the nation in dunks only because Paul could get all the way into the lane and throw it over a shorter defender. He couldn’t get anyone separation in the pick and roll

They have others who do what he does and can hit FTs. Actually surprised he’s still starting.

But alas, and not surprisingly, I must disagree with you. We lack rebounder and rim protector that he would have been.
The problem is that he would have expected to be able to play post up basketball like last year and expect shots and he just was awful at it. Bama won’t even pass him the ball when he is open

Cliff was exposed last year as being extremely limited when he had the opportunity to be a focal point

But what hes doing now- just re bounding and blocking shots- would be just whats needed here

Cliff would have been very valuable on this years Rutgers teams
On Alabama his minutes are very similar to EO here.
Does not look like he is happy there.
He would limit a lot of the second chance points opponents get against us

Cliff would clog up the middle and make it difficult for Dylan to drive.

Things are fine.

He played 17 minutes in a game that went to OT. Had 3 rebounds. Bama looks good but Cliff’s role (and thus development) maybe much more limited than anticipated.

Nah… based on what? His “shot blocking”? Out of position a lot and clogs the middle.

If Cliff was picked for those two free throws I think we all know how that would have ended. 9 pts 8 rebounds against a top team. If he can give us a double double or close, that’s one piece.
