Yes a bunch of things we can point to for RU but this in the end was more about Hofstra winning it vs us losing it. They hit shot after shot mostly contested.

We hit some foul shots, stay in zone we probably win but still Hofstra were insane hitting everything. Give them a lot of credit.

Hofstra lost their conf tourney final in OT. Otherwise they’d be the 13 or 12 seed that would have made a sweet 16 run with this shooting

Not too mention, all with their leading scorer on the bench.

Spencer is the best foul shooter but rarely gets fouled when it matters.
Because he had the ball and passed it away should have held it till he gets fouled there

They made their shots in the post season to move on. Credit to them. I'm still bitter though

They are real good shooters. All season.
Yes – – what they haven’t done well is rebound all season. But tonight was a combination of their misses turning into long rebounds, as in the end of regulation, and their doing a great job tipping the ball to keep it alive when they couldn’t grab the rebound. Cliff’s five rebounds against the team like this is just a huge disappointment.

They are quick , basketball smart and they hit their shots

Not blaming him but in a game that was 2 points it did not help. He is tough as nails Dude. Cliff not getting the rebound to me was biggest problem.

Pike has yet to instill the composure and awareness in his teams of seizing the moment by making the available plays. It’s happened time and again, where routine plays get mishandled and it costs us in the tight games. We just can’t seem to make the critical free throws or routine plays like boxing out or finishing a dunk or put back.

Their last five points in regulation came off of an off balance fadeaway three that was well guarded, and a put back off a long rebound over Cliff’s head from a three that was also well guarded. Sometimes it’s just not meant to be.
Sat downstairs for the first time ever tonight and noticed that down the stretch they were able to get a clean touch on a few shots of ours that still went in...

A margin as close as the skin of your finger...

We should never have played this game at home lol. Visiting teams turn into the globetrotters and we play better away.
Give jersey Mike's their money back. Bring back the RAC ?
(Hint..first sentence was a joke.. I think)

Make no mistake Hofstra is basically a tourney team. Wanted it more than us. They lost in OT to a very good Charleston team where only the ship team advances. Regardless, bad look for us to lose and now we shut our mouths after being eliminated in round 1 of the NIT at home
