We all know that the next half dozen games will have us as dogs. We just got our first decommit and if we go on a long losing streak it may well be the catalyst for others to just say enough is enough. Frankly, I was surprised it took this long for somebody to rethink his commit. How much bad press does it take before family and friends get you thinking you may have made a mistake? How many even are all that sure Flood and company will be here to greet them?
If this program ever needed some wins to try an turn things around to a positive, it is certainly now.
That is so much easier to say than to do. Terrible time to have such a killer schedule.

As much as I agree with needing a win, asking it against Mich State, a team who the nation is saying are frauds, is a tall task.

They will pound Purdue at home and look to put up points against us to gain some respect.

Good luck to us.

Isn't this exactly what people are hoping for down the road...the total downfall of Rutgers Football? ...we have "fans" praying that we get wiped out in the next 5-6 games...we even have some "boldly" predicting no more wins this season... they could be right but I doubt it...the same board crew who swears they love Rutgers but hate everything with it....a sane person would say I'm not happy with the issues and direction I see but I'm NOT rooting against the team and staff...at the end all things take care of themselves...so if KyleFlood goes then so be it ...if he stays and there is a very good chance he does stay.... then give up those tickets and donations ...

Get a clue. Predicting a loss or criticizing a coach who is not only a bad game coach but who puts "I don't want to deal with OPRA" in an email is being REALISTIC.

The whole problem is that 5% of our fans want to tell the 95% in reality that we cannot discuss it.

I think the board will be better if we just acknowledge up front in every thread that this poster will make the same point in every single thread multiple times. We can save him the time of repeating it and enable anyone that wants to say something new to say it.

Seriously, your opinion has been stated. Enough already.

A bad season on the field probably would have some impact on the recruiting. However, I think the main thing that is going to work against them is the Flood situation and the arrests. That is what many of the other schools will pound them on. It's a shame...but it was brought on by their own behavior...so they have to deal with it.

I'm fine with tanking the season and the recruiting class imploding if flood is fired and schiano or a name hc like Mullen is hired.

The administration and state legislature need to know that this is a critical time for THEM. Their jobs, all of them, could depend on how they handle this.

I do miss the days under GS when we could break down the Xs and Os while saying GS couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper bag.

At least by Tuesday we go back to Xs and Os, and personnel - Then saying GS couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper bag on Saturday. At least we had Tuesday - Friday to talk football because we had a fighting chance AGAINST ANYONE (even WVU).

What a dumpster fire this program has become where it is futile to dicuss Xs and Os because half our schedule it going to beat our brains in.

95%?? Hahahaha. You are one arrogant obnoxious dude.
You are guilty of that which you accuse the other side.
Where do you get the idea that 95% agree with your negativity?

Typical response from the 5% crowd. He says reality, you turn it into negativity. You can't live with reality so you make it your enemy.

So it's fair to say that when we state as fact that we have fans that would like to see us lose, and we get the usual group that tells us we are exaggerating, we can use you as an example...fracking pathetic fan you are

NO ONE WANTS US TO LOSE.

See here is the problem with this board.

It reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Marge is a on talk show, and they ask "What do you hate most about America- is it the freedom?"

If you point out that we will likely lose to MSU, it's "What do you hate most about Rutgers, is it the hard working players?"

Just stop. The time of playing nice with the blue sky is over, because blue sky bought us 7 arrests, a coach who breaks the rules, and a donor who thinks he calls the shots.

As alumni and fans, we did not sign up for the Flood dumpster fire and I am sure as hell not going to pretend as if the fire isn't burning. It's our fans that would blame a stubbed toe on the SL, ESPN, JH. or anyone not Kyle Flood- who have us in the predicament in certain part.

No its not fair to say. And you know it but you just love to stir the pot.

The 95% of fans booing when Dear Leader showed up on the big screen, and every poll on this site and every interview with every donor other than Towers. And every other single person I know that follows the program, and those that don't asking why after years of off the field success we now have FSU off the field and USF on it.

95% is generous, it is likely higher.

white bus falls into same category as nirh--you don't need to read their posts--same old negativity and everyone else accepts mediocrity--they are the macho, macho men -- yeah 95% of the fans booed flood on Saturday--if his opinion is as off base as that statement they lack complete credibility.

The problem with this board starts and ends with people like you.

That's silly. Supporters of Flood don't support mediocrity.

Flood supporters support abject failure, losing, not scoring a touchdown in 1/3 of B1G games played, criminality, influence peddling, a Wisconsin alum deciding who are coach is, NCAA violations, and putting in writing when you break the rules, liasons in Princeton to keep drunk drivers eligible, worst in the country OL one year and pass defense another, and just being penalized nonstop.

How dare 66 impugn the good name of mediocrity supporters with Flood!

Oh the one where you tried the claim we were the same as Oregon with the board's most prominent John Birch member....

I have things to do. If I spent all day like the Floodies wondering why the SL made them get my lunch order wrong or why ESPN made me get a paper cut, I wouldn't get much accomplished.

Also I would have to wear a blindfold and earplugs, which would be cumbersome.

I just bumped it for you. Go take another read, or two, or three. You're a little slow so actually take as many as you need.

Good, I'm glad you're using your breaks at Wawa effectively. Does Jeff Towers throw you a little on the side to pretend everything is going swimmingly, or is that just overall ignorance?

Then stop kvetching and go raise money from the 95 percenters to buy Flood out and hire a marquee coach.

That isn't my job, it's Julie's, and I'm sure she is doing it, unless she wants the TTFP and Michigan takeovers their fans predicted to be reality....because no one is going to shell out hundreds of dollars to watch this garbage.

I'm starting to love the Flood dumpster fire. It is causing BotInRHouse to gnash his teeth down to nubs.

Someone needs to put this queen on watch. He seems dangerous to himself.

Julie isn't doing a thing without your $$$$$$upport. Boosters and grassroots fundraising are now things get shaken up in college athletics. So yes, it is your job. If you want to light a fire under Julie's arse, organize and raise, and show that you and your allies can outspend Towers.

I have given plenty of money. If I was T Boone Pickens, I would not try to hold the department or anyone hostage. That is what is happening, and no one should have to play that game.

Credibility??? Please. I'm at every game. I support the team. You Blue Sky Clowns are like a cult. We have an idiot who starts a thread about the great interception. You cellar dwellers are pathetic.

The best part is that assuming they are at the game, which is a big assumption, they heard the booing of Flood and yet two of them in this thread were denying it...literally they denied a reality experienced by thousands there...it is shades of Sandusky in the strategy....

It is one thing, in the past, people have agreed and disagreed on things, I disagreed with plenty of the people who now form the overwhelming majority on this issue. But this is criminality, fraud, nevermind the awful, awful on the field product....if this was in Central PA the same people would be loving it but because it is here we have to act like it isn't happening...

Reality isn't flaming, get over it. The only thing flaming is Flood's seat and those clinging on

He would rather hold the board hostage with his drama queen hysterics.

Lol I'm hysterical....yet you respond to everything I post. Because being a Floodie you need to make sure anytime reality gets pointed out, you need to respond with nonsense. You promised not to have anything to do with the program because JH was hired, maybe you should see it through.

ok--who got an email that they were in a drawing for free audio club tix--bet it wasn't nirh who gives "plenty of money" and was quoted that he made millions the last few years

No its not fair to say. And you know it but you just love to stir the pot.

I actually used to give you more credit. Please use your education and read what f blitz put in writing. Did I change it, stir it or anything else? You and NIRH came back as you always do and you look pretty damn stupid right now. NOT A DAMN one of us told or paid blitz what to say.

I only asked if we could use what he said as an example when certain dips hats what to say the NO ONE wants us to lose. So, jump on blitz, not me. I have never waiverd my support. From now on, change the narrative to "no one but blitz".

And as a pure compliment- I know damn well what a fan and supporter you are. We may disagree but there is NO DOUBT you would take a win every game the rest of this season. Blitz/ not so much- just don't ever try to tell us that this type of so called "fan" doesn't exist.

So it's fair to say that when we state as fact that we have fans that would like to see us lose, and we get the usual group that tells us we are exaggerating, we can use you as an example...fracking pathetic fan you are
Sure, if you'd like to, feel free. I stand by what I said. If we have to suffer some losses to see this program go in a better direction under new leadership then i'm all for it. The ends definitely would justify the means.

Blaming fans on this board for this is just awful. We have media leading them to the negative conclusions posted here. The media is telling a story of an out of control program that is too powerful and is led by a coach that cheats and looks the other way. None of which is true.

Can we really blame some fans for trusting the media and jumping to the same conclusions? Those same fans would be echoing a media that was more moderate and objective in its reporting. We know this because these fans love to point out how the media is backing up their opinions.

Take ESPN's "Worst Game Ever" crap. Clearly it was not by any objective measurement. Yet they reported that and people echoed it. And even when presented with facts that revealed ESPN's obvious bias (reporting on a game NOT on their network between conferences with which they do treat as prime business partners)... these same fans actually tried to argue in support of ESPN.. without any facts to back them up.

The media plays the tune that many many fans dance to.

Consider Schiano's troubles with the media.. all while building to those bowl games and that great 2006 season.

It was reported that Schiano's team was a bunch of thugs.. based largely on a couple kids bending over a street sign during summer school and having attended a late night party in town. He was also criticized as being a micromanaging ego-maniac. He was also called a bad game day coach... yet be beat some pretty good coaches. And one year, early on, the Star Ledger ran a big negative piece the morning of signing day.. one can only assume it was to try to create last minute defections. You also saw the Rutgers Football preseason review from the Star Ledger have the largest piece devoted to a game by game breakdown of, I think it was a 1-10 season. I kid you not.. a building program, the local paper does the new season section on the team and hammers it with what it did the previous season.

We can talk about lack of big donors, general lack of support by NJ Senate and Governor, etc. etc.. but the biggest hurdle for Rutgers is and has always been the negative media attention from all the local sources.
