Richie says Davis may redshirt. Seems unlikely IMO
If Paul leaves backcourt will be real thin with Miller also likely to leave.
Simpson would be the only PG and he's more of a combo guard. Spencer is a shooting guard. Those would be our only real guard options. We would need multiple portal guards for that to work which would take scholarships away from other positional needs
Redshirting is pretty rare. Everyone was saying how Wolf was so raw and he would redshirt but it didn't happen. I don't see why Davis can't play a depth role as a freshman. He is putting up big numbers on an elite HS team and is physically stronger than Simpson was coming in
