Don Bosco QB Tommy DeVito to Sadexcuse.

I'm going to chime-in regarding the Rutgers 2017 QB choice. Word has it here in the Detroit area that Dual QB/ATH Jairus Grissom out of Dearborn Heights, MI is considered a Rutgers lean.
http://247sports.com/player/jairus-grissom-78346

And that QB Johnathan Lewis out of New Jersey is an Iowa lean.
http://247sports.com/Player/Johnathan-Lewis-83011

Here's some explanation/clarification....

It involves 2017 QB recruit Rocky Lombardi out of West DesMoines, IA
http://247sports.com/Player/Rocky-Lombardi-84477

Both Iowa and Michigan State were going hard after Rocky Lombardi..... well, two weeks ago Lombardi committed to the Spartans instead of staying in-state to play for the Hawkeyes (which pissed-off Iowa fans).... so now Iowa is supposedly really going hard after Johnathan Lewis out of New Jersey.

Back to Jairus Grissom out of Dearborn, MI.
Grissom was being looked at hard by the Spartans but did not yet receive an offer from MSU because Rocky Lombardi out of Iowa was the primary QB target of Mark Dantonio. And now that Lombardi is a Spartan commit, Grissom is out of the picture for receiving an offer from Dantonio.

Note that Jairus Grissom currently has 15 scholarship offers, five of which are Power 5 (Wake Forest, Purdue, North Carolina State, Syracuse, and Rutgers).

Now..... Syracuse has their QB with the Tommy Devito commit, so Grissom is supposedly out of the picture for the Orange.

So with all these happenings with Lombardi, Devito, and supposedly Lewis.... I wouldn't be surprised if Jairus Grissom makes plans to visit Rutgers this Saturday.... I haven't heard anything, but if I do, I will post it.

Take care all!

Awesome insight!

I wish we had more posts like this in this board.

BTW, I couldn't help but notice that after all your faux-arrogant chest-thumping, you still can't seem to come up with a better nickname for Sarahcuse. I mean, if you're going to insult my name choices for them (invented by others), then surely you can produce a better name, right?

Right?

Nah, I didn't think so. All talk and no action.
Sarahcuse, good one. So you're calling them girls. Real creative. Real funny. Junior High kids could do better when insulting a rival school. You're out of your depth Mildone.

Dude what's the problem here? This board has called them a slew of different names, for over a decade now, just as they do with us.

Sadexcuse
Saracuse
Saradouche
Sewercuse

...the list goes on.

Yes, the first two are terrible though. The third is too for different reasons. Sewercuse I like though.

There is more history of me getting brutalized on this board. Dont think because I was treated fairly in this thread that it makes me forget about all the names I was called in the past. Now I see both sides of this. For one fan base to point fingers at other is not getting us anywhere IMO. Im surprised you think most rutty fans are nice to Cuse. I hear or see more hate than anything. There's times when I say something positive about Cuse or any NE program and I get insulted for it. I will never deny that I dont see harsh statements from Cuse fans about Rutgers. Its over the top in that forum. I agree with that but Its both fans bases not just one. I see a new thread related to Cuse every few weeks. If you put all those threads in one you would have the same thread that's on that site here.
Frankly it's almost impossible to find a Syracuse fan or defender that isn't a complete douche.

And nobody who is a Rutgers fan wants Syracuse to do anything but eat shit and die.

I just call them (Sadexcuse,Saracuse,Saradouche,Sewercuse ) the fruit and their fanbase fruit-flies.
But use the others when I'm in the mood to talk about sarascum [winking]

The day I get worried about the 58th best pro style qb in the country committing to Syracuse is the day I stop following sports. The 58th best pro style qb should go to Syracuse.

He'd probably be 2018th on our depth chart.

Your right bro. What was I thinking? Im an idiot

I just popped onto the Cuse board...what a sad bunch of human beings. Bragging about running up the score vs. RU in '97 and '98 when we were at our lowest of low points. Must be tough having to wax poetic about games that took place 2 decades ago to feel good about your football program. Kind of ironic how they like to remind us that "college football existed prior to 2005". Well guess what? College football also isn't exclusive to the late 1980's/1990's. Funny how they conveniently left out the next game in '99 when a win-less Rutgers team knocked off Syracuse for it's only W of the season. Oh and by the way Money, on the first page alone I counted 3 threads about Rutgers so ask yourself who is more preoccupied with whom? Rich Scanlon jumping into the stands to go after a RU fan in 2003 because RU was kicking their ass truly embodies the essence of what Syracuse football is all about...being a sore loser. Stay classy, Syracuse, stay classy.

Uh-huh. You okay? You seem to be running out of steam.

A continuation of my previous post----
Just a couple followup notes regarding QB Jairus Grissom out of Dearborn Heights, MI (supposedly a Rutgers lean).
http://247sports.com/player/jairus-grissom-78346

If you were confused by his high school... he used to attend Dearborn Robichaud High, but has transferred to River Rouge High.
http://www.todaysu.com/u-news/three-star-qb-jairus-grissom-reportedly-switches-to-river-rouge/

River Rouge has a better football program than Dearborn Robichaud.... in fact, River Rouge played in their division's 2015 state of Michigan championship game, which they lost. Grissom should be surrounded by better players in 2016 than he was during his last two seasons, so I imagine he hopes to have a very good Senior season, and thus boost his recruit rankings.

Also, a few days ago (April 14), when Jairus Grissom named his top 3 school choices (Syracuse, Rutgers, and Toledo), he stated he would not make his verbal commit until after his first 2016 season football game (August 27, 2016).
http://collegespun.com/acc/syracuse/3-star-qb-jairus-grissom-releases-top-3-schools

However...... since then, as you folks know, Syracuse received a commit from QB Tommy Devito.... so, I wouldn't be surprised if Grissom commits earlier than August 27 in fear of his spot/scholarship being taken by another QB.

Take care all!

Now this is the kind of info that is really welcome on this board. The Orange fan who claims to be a coach just needs to stay away from this board.

I'm not sure how to take money...claims to be a HS coach with kids on our team and one about to be drafted. Makes it seem to be DB...but there is nothing about his tone or writing style to even make me remotely believe that. And then the comment about becoming a Cuse fan because of proximity, I'm not sure if he knows how to read a map.
no offense to Devito but money comes off as a close friend or family who is trying to keep the kid relevant in our minds. Everything in this thread has become weird.
When it comes to Devito- good QB with a lot of potential. Just a couple of weeks ago, most everyone was high on him. But I seem to recall that he made mention of the fit not being right for him. At that point, there was little doubt he was going elsewhere and certainly not being pushed for a commit you Rutgers. We had better fits that we were still waiting on.
I wish the kid well as he seems like a classy kid. But man, money and reppin just annoy me

They aren't offensive. They just aren't funny or creative. That's my opinion, if you think calling them Sadexcuse is cool then go for it.

It's not about the names for 'Cuse. OriginalKnight has had a bug up his butt about me for a long time (going back to his "funny and creative" oft-repeated "FAIL" posts).

I think he might have a crush on me or something. It's kind of cute. I'm flattered, but he's not my type.

really, maybe 'Original Knight' is a "Original Orange"?
I had that same thought. Like maybe our Original Knight is really Agent Orange.

But he does have a long history of being angry with me all the time. At one point last year, I thought maybe he was my ex-wife or an ex-GF. Tough to say if his posts to me have more the feel of a jilted lover or the feel of a first grade girl trying to get a third grade boy's attention.

But like I said, it's cute. I hope he never stops. :D

I created Sadexcuse. It was hysterical at the time I thought. We were in the process of kicking their ass, yearly, on the gridiron. It also represents how I feel when I look at girls who went to school there: sad. Sad for the guys who go there!

I thought it was hilarious too, which is why I used that nickname in the thread title. Apparently our resident nickname critic disagrees. Just no pleasing some people. [laughing]

What I think is that you, and others who invented the other funny Syracuse nicknames, are all collateral damage in OK's attacks on me. I almost feel like I should apologize for him.

Are the girls that bad there? Never been.

lol, I don't have time like other people to be on message boards everyday. Im sure some of the older Cuse fans on that site still bring up the 80's and 90's. No different from Rutgers fans talking about 2006.

Fair enough. Perhaps it's the older Cuse fans that think Rutgers rightful place in college football is what they were from 1997-2000. 20 years prior to that and going back to 1869 we were the equivalent of a 1-AA. Different histories than Syracuse.

Yes, but one of the good ones [cheers]
