Sanders Johnson Laurent Freeman Diallo OR
Sanders Johnson Williams Freeman Diallo

totally different than what we saw on the court in terms of talent and confidence

I am really down on Jordan because of his attitude, but he deserves a semi pass and a chance next year.

My opinion on him hasn't changed and is stronger, but the lineup above is 1000% different than what we saw on the court today.

Totally agree.. Sanders and Nigel Johnson, who I am told by parents of team members is the best guard on the team, in the backcourt and Freeman, Doorson and Laurent up front, with Mike Williams and Foreman and Diallo off the bench make this game a lot different .
By the way MIKE Williams has put together really good games against Wisconsin and Nebraska and seems to be turning the corner.

Did Eddie shake your hand tonight and ask you to post nice things on the boards?

Did you ask him when his team will start practicing rebounding, and then actually try to get one on the offensive end?

Even if we get down to 3 scholarship players, it doesn't matter.
We have all seen enough over the past 2.5 years to know - time for change.

If you could not see how depleted we were tonight, I cannot help you. Coach K, Pitino, Boeheim, Roy Williams would gave all been blown out with this roster and Nebraska playing their A game.
I am a realist and usually very critical of Eddie but tonight is not the night. Open your eyes!!!

Bullcrap

If we had those guys, our guys would know how to play the game the right way.
They would work together as a team, have good fundamentals, box out, take charges, crash the boards and try to get an offensive rebound.

How many ORebounds did we get?
How many charges have we even attempted to take all season?
Less than Rice's played actually drew in 1 game.

He focuses on all the wrong things.
Did you read the posts about his practices by those who have observed them? Comical.
NBA != College
Eddie will never get that.

That is why we need to go in a different direction.

Not saying we should have won today with this roster, but should not have looked as putrid and lost, and should not have lost by 34. I don't know what would have been respectable. Lose by 20?

Why are we pressing so much when we are short handed?
Doesn't that tire the guys out, as well as almost always lead to an easy basket?

What is the bullcrap? The way Eddie coached tonight or that all those great coaches I mentioned couldn't have done any better with this roster?

If you don't think those coaches you mentioned could do any better than Eddie, we have a major disagreement.

I am not saying Coach K walks in the building at 5 minutes before tipoff.
I am saying the way those coaches would have prepared the team all pre-season and throughout this season.
Coaching in college makes a huge difference IMO.
Based on what u are saying, it doesn't.

dont underestimate what a good coaching staff can do...especially with a team like ours.

Part XOs, part scouting, a lot more effort.

Do not disagree better scouting would help and his staff is terrible in their preparation. Players must watch more film and learn. It surely doesn't appear they do..
Maryland/Wisconsin yesterday was an example of the Maryland staff doing a great job and they defended Wisconsin sets real well. In fact, Dan DOKICH , the analyst said as much.
However, with our roster and the way Nebraska played, it might have made very little difference.

Listen Brain, criticize Eddie for poor recruiting and failure to emphasize good defense and rebounding. But at the end of the day, you need capable players to play, (we are depleted) and we need the ones out there to play well. With the exception of Mike Williams no one did. Thus the result yesterday.
Eddie set up 4-5 out of bounds plays for layups or easy scores. He scored on set plays out of timeouts. That is good coaching. His players did not play defense or rebound. Either because he doesn't emphasize it enough or the players he has just do not have the will, pride, intensity or self motivation to do it. He cannot punish those who do not do the above because there is no one to put in. That puts him in a rough spot. This present roster is a disaster and when they do not play with passion we are in trouble. I have been very critical of Eddie. Now is not the time.

All you needed to see is when Shields was guarded by Goode. He penetrated and passed to wide open kids because Goode needed help. And also agree that Williams is playing well and he has some toughness which some of the other players need.

The other reality is despite how bad we are on the defensive side of the court we are statisticly worse offensively. We can blame less injuries for the offense being bad.

Success or failure starts with recruiting players capable of achieving in the B1G.Without that base additional factors such as injuries and player development become more important in the won/loss record.

Who is paying for Jordan's extension if he stays. He will not be able to recruit with only two years left on his contract. A two year 3 million extension for this. No way

Are we even sure Jordan wants an extension? Nothing indicates he has the energy for this re-build.

The recruiting class this year was not bad – – Sanders, Freeman and a quality transfer.

On the court this year we were to have six players 6'6" tall or better. Four are out, one is playing on one leg. Mismatches make you make choices on defense. Players are forced to hedge towards doubling down in the post, therefore the opposition is going to get some looks. Last night, they just hit shots even when the defense closed out pretty well.

This is not Littlepaige, who would win seven games a year against vastly inferior competition, and who inherited average talent for his league and produced a horrendous record by insisting on playing against his players' strengths. And he was an arrogant SOB on top of it. Those trying to compare are profoundly misinformed.

Jordan started in a bad place and has had some horrific luck. Any move that were to be made should not come before the end of next season.

It's worse than Littlepage

If you think this you're absolutely clueless, or might never have seen a Littlepaige coached team, or the level of competition he had to deal with.

Who cares if it is better or worse than Littlepage.

If that is one measuring stick, we are in big trouble.

Regardless, we suck.
Absolutely cannot wait until after next season.
It would be a total waste of another year.

(I cannot believe we still have people pushing for another year.
Some people will hang on to this regime until the bitter end.)
