Alabama has a great system. Few would argue they don't have an incredible staff. If they played the Buffalo Bills they would get destroyed. Because the Buffalo Bills have more talent.

That's our situation playing some of our conference foes. They are light years ahead. In college you can't trade and sign new players. You have to recruit. And you can only take a certain number. Football is a huge oil tanker at the college level. When you have no talent, it takes years to turn around.

Ash knows football. The only and real question. Can he get enough players?

I'm surprised more people don't understand this basic concept.

A lot of our fans have been greatly deluded all along about how good or not our team is. Halfway through our 3rd season in the big ten we've won 4 conference games, and two of those were big come from behind wins against the two weakest teams in our division. Indiana in 2014 is the only strong win we've had to date. Too many wins over midmajor level teams and very weak p5 teams over the last 10 years convinced many people that we were better than we were.
