I’ve seen him play, kid is pretty legit. Fits Pikiell’s style- long, can rebound, and can shoot the 3.

Rutgers offered him already and he goes to Gill St. Bernard’s in NJ (where Mulchahy went). I think we have a legit shot at this guy.

I recently had a conversation with someone who is very tied into the NJ high school hoops/AAU scene and we were discussing RU recruiting (namely around Patterson). He told me that whereas RU was not really a serious contender for the top kids in the state in the past, they have definitely turned heads. Specifically, he said that the top kids really like Pike and really like the APC. He said last season was an eye opener and most of the kids consider RU to be a tourney team now. However, he did mention that the kids are looking towards this season to see if RU will become a legitimate perennial tourney team. If RU has another great season and makes the tournament, he said the floodgates will open. Regarding Patterson, I was told he is "intrigued by RU, but enamored with Nova".
